A lot of golf apparel reviews this week! On the menu today is a really killer golf polo from the new Arnie clothing line.
Sam
Sam Saunders is Arnie’s grandson. The Sam polo line is named after him. Within the Sam line is a limited edition polo created for the Arnold Palmer Invitational, the SAM-Limited. The Sam-Limited has a horizontal striped pattern in the colors of the Arnold Palmer Invitational (red, white, green and yellow).
Material
This polo is a made from a blend of 95% Polyester and 5% Spandex with “Quick-dry” technology. Quick-dry is a moisture wicking technology which keeps you cool and dry in hot and humid conditions.
As I’ve said many times, I love non-cotton shirts like this simply because they don’t wrinkle easily and they’re easy to manage.
Availability
Availability of this special polo is limited and showing shipping around the 16th of April. (more…)

Callaway has a new customization option for their Razr Fit drivers. If you go to udesign.callawaygolf.com you’ll find an interface (pictured below) which allows you to build a Razr Fit driver to your specs and colors.
Customizable Options
No “hot pink” option for the driver color though. 🙂
Once you set up your driver you can save it for later or purchase for $449 with a 1-2 week delivery.
Orders will be shipped beginning early May.
I’m happy to read some press releases (one posted below) that almost 200 websites which sell counterfeit golf clubs have been shut down recently. I get emails all the time from Chinese manufacturers who are trying to get me to sell their fake versions of Titleist, TaylorMade, PING, Cleveland and Callaway Golf clubs. I always tell them to jump off a cliff.
In January some 60 other web sites were shut down. This past week’s shutdowns bring the total to about 250.
Well played. For more on the fight against counterfeit golf equipment, visit Keep Golf Real.

After the Masters practice rounds last week the HOG World Tour took a drive up to Canton, Georgia to play a round of golf at Woodmont Golf and Country Club. Woodmont is a Robert Trent Jones, Jr. design which is a very fun track. I’ve added my photos of Woodmont to the new HOG Woodmont Image Gallery.
I had a terrific time and played quite well at Woodmont, shooting a 76 from the blue tees. That good round was primarily due to the fact that I hit 13 of 14 fairways. In fact, it wasn’t until the last hole that I realized I’d hit 13 fairways in a row. Then of course the gag reflex kicked in and I missed the 14th fairway. Oh well. (more…)
