Tiger Woods car crash is extremely fishy

Tiger Woods was “injured” in a car crash last night at 2:25am.  This is a single vehicle crash.  Initial reports had Tiger “seriously” injured, but now the reports are that he had a few lacerations on his face and was unconscious.

What IS known:

Tiger crashed into a fire hydrant and a tree.

Tiger’s wife Elin smashed a car window open with a golf club and removed him.  He was unconscious.  No word on what club she used and whether it was a Nike.

Alcohol is not involved.

Charges are “pending.”  WHAT charges could be pending?  If not alcohol then what?  Very fishy.

His airbag did not deploy so he was traveling less than 33mph.

Rumors are already flying.  Speculation running wild.

What could possibly be the reason Tiger left his house at 2:25am?  Was he on his way to get in line for Black Friday Christmas shopping, hoping to save a few bucks at WalMart?  Probably not.  Was he heading to the store to buy baby formula?  I’m guessing they were well stocked.

Checking the online forums many seem to believe this to be a domestic dispute issue.  This makes sense, especially if this has been brewing for a while.  Tiger’s behavior on the course this season has been excessively violent with club throwing, club smashing, cussing, bag kicking and the like.  Yes he’s done this in years past, but this year was noticeably worse.

There are other rumors which I won’t even regurgitate at this point and I hope they’re false.  I’m sure many more will be coming down the line.

Fishy to say the least

Whatever the case, and I’m not coming to any conclusions myself, this is fishy.

Best wishes to Tiger and family

I wish Tiger and his family the best and hope that if anything is troubling them, they work it out and live happily ever after.

Very excited for golf tomorrow

There’s a special foursome which used to play ALL the time. I’m talking a minimum of 2x per week and more on holiday weeks. That foursome’s highest handicap is a 4. We have millions of bets and tons of fun pitting our different strengths against each other. Two of the guys are not long hitters but have the most deadly short games ever. One guy is a bomber who can reach par-5’s in two almost all the time, but his putting can be hot and cold. The other guy is me. Not long enough to be considered a bomber (10-20 yards behind the bomber guy), but longer than the short knockers by 15-25 yards. My putting is my most deadly weapon.

This foursome has not played as a group since 2008. We’ve all played with one or two of the other guys this season, but this group is finally back together tomorrow.

The high will be 48 (just checked again and now they’re saying 50), which is good considering that there’s been snow on the ground and the highs have been in the in the mid 30’s the last week or so.  In checking, the temp will be 39 when we tee off.  No blading 3-irons!

You can tell how excited I am by how much I prepared tonight

Thanksgiving dinner is over and the calories are not keeping me from the getting ready for tomorrow’s round:

  • First I had to find my replacement head for my Frogger Brush Pro club cleaner. New bristles in the brush enabled me to finely do the next item on this list.
  • Cleaned the clubs. Not just wiped them, but scrubbed and dug out all the grooves. They’re shiny and spotless. They look beautiful. The grooves are ready to impart the exact spin I want them to tomorrow.
  • Marked plenty of balls. Placed 12 skulls via my GolfDotz on a dozen balls. I did 3 ZStar-X’s and 9 of the new Bridgestone e6 “Straight” (not out yet to my knowledge). I’ll probably only use one ball tomorrow. Maybe two.
  • Stocked my MySack golf accessory bag with plenty of tees, divot tools, TGS ball markers.
  • Cleaned my FootJoy DryJoys Tech golf shoes.
  • Swapped out my old worn out spikes for new “adjustable” Softspikes (review coming soon, after I test them out). I had to use needle nosed pliers to get the old spikes out. It nearly took me 20 minutes to get the old ones out and I damn near broke my wrist. Now the shoes are fully rocking with new spikes. They’re ready to give me stability in my swing.
  • Put a new “Golf Talk Radio with Mike & Billy” towel on my bag.
  • Got the propane heater out of storage and ready to keep my hands warm tomorrow.

I’m ready. Let the games begin!

Sumi-G Stymie Belts

Today I’m reviewing the SUMI-G Stymie Golf Belt.  Part of the “Tee Collection,” this is one of two different styles of belts offered by my very good friends at SUMI-G.

Buckle And Magnetic Ball Marker

I like shiny stuff.  The two piece hinged buckle is shiny.  The unique double prongs are also shiny.  The removable magnetic ball marker is shiny and very cool looking.  With a SUMI-G belt around my ever changing waist, I never find myself without a ball marker on the first green because I forgot to throw one in my pocket.

High End Leather

The belt has an Italian leather outer shell with a colorfast suede leather inner in red.  Very good looking.  The leather is soft and smooth too.  Sometimes I just sit at home in front of the fireplace with a glass of wine, stroking the soft, supple leather of my SUMI-G belts.  Enough of my personal life for now.

Style

The belt is wider than standard old style belts at 1 5/8″ wide.  This is par with all the hip new wider format belts these days.  And like I mentioned in my SUMI-G Dormy belt review, if this belt is too wide for your belt loops it is time to upgrade your pants.

It is a belt

I got a strange call the other day.  Some lady found my phone number and called me about SUMI-G belts because, well, I’m an expert on the subject.  Here’s the conversation:

Me: “Hello?”

Lady: “Yes I’m calling about the SUMI-G belts.”

Me: “What do you want to know?”

Lady: “What are they?  What do they do?”

Me: “They’re belts.  They hold your pants up.”

Sizes And Colors

The Stymie series comes in three sizes: small, medium and large.

The Stymie is available in white, black and brown as pictured in the first photo above.  My personal Stymie is black and boy does it look good with the shiny components, black leather, red liner and red stitching accents.

Conclusion

If you want to look stylish, hip, cool, neat, nifty, classic, chic, slick, elegant… the SUMI-G Stymie belt is the ticket.

USB golf ball may be the perfect golf gift for the golfer who has everything

I have everything.  I’m a golfer.  That makes me “the golfer who has everything.”  But wait a sec.  I don’t have everything.  I just found the 1GB Golf ball USB Drive.

Pretty silly really.  If that doesn’t do the trick there’s always the 2GB Chocolate Donut USB Drive…
