New GRIP site online :: New irons, woods, driver
My good friend Rob Blumberg’s company “Golf Research In Play” or “GRIP” has gotten it’s new site online. The new site is updated with all the new golf equipment released this month. The new equipment includes a 460cc driver, wide sole irons and a set of very pretty fairway woods.

Masters Sunday blog continued…
I miss a few holes on the way to my aunt’s Easter dinner. Here’s what I missed:
In the course of those holes Zach Johnson birdies 16 and goes bogey/par on 17 & 18. He’s in the clubhouse at +1. I miss Tiger going in the water on 15…
What I didn’t miss: Bare Breasts :: Zach Johnson Wins The Masters
So a bunch of extended family have gotten together at my aunt’s for Easter dinner. I don’t even greet anyone, I simply head for the TV to see what is up. Sitting three feet across the coffee table, facing me is some lady who I’ve met before. She’s an in law 4th cousin of some sort.
I’m looking right past this lady to Tiger Woods on 16. In my blur I could swear all the sudden this lady exposed her large left breast. In shock I take my eyes off The Masters and I do verify that this lady’s entire left breast is exposed. I stand there with my jaw open and then I watch her pick up her new born baby and he latches on and starts having his own Easter dinner, out in the open. In my tunnel vision I can’t believe I didn’t trip over the baby stroller which I didn’t see…
Memo to women
It’s really nice you can bond with your child and I’m definitely “for” breast feeding. But please keep your private parts to yourselves. I don’t know if you think you are special or something but there must be some odd reason you don’t want to do this in private. You make people uncomfortable when you do this. Please at least put a damn blanket over yourself or make some kind of an effort to ensure that this special moment is one that you share with your baby and not the rest of the world.
The finish
“Junior” finished his Easter dinner and he and I watched Tiger try to catch Zach Johnson but come up short. I think Junior and I were both just as happy, but for different reasons. It was quite a strange look to see on Tiger’s face. He had a very empty and shocked look on his face like “I’m finishing 18 at The Masters in the final group and it doesn’t mean a thing.”
What’s cool about Zach Johnson
Zach Johnson is a regular guy. He’s very down to Earth. He played his own game plan, didn’t attempt to reach ANY of the par-5’s in two. He stayed extremely calm. His plan was solid and he executed it perfectly. Well done. I’m glad to see a new major winner, especially at The Masters.
Just a few years ago Zach was playing in Hooters tournaments. Now he’ll be a life long invitee to the greatest golf tournament in the world, The Masters.
Now does Zach win another major?

2:18pm Stuart Appleby is in a bush right the first hole. He punches out, makes double but Tiger bogeys.
2:35pm Tiger pulls shot on #2.
2:37pm Zach Johnson Takes the lead.
2:48pm Tiger Woods ties the lead with a birdie on two.
3:07pm Zach Johnson bogeys, Tiger has the lead all to himself on #3 tee.
3:32pm Rory Sabbatini takes the lead at +2 with an eagle on 8 by making an insane breaking putt.

3:46pm Appleby birdies #6 while Tiger makes a nail-biter for bogey.
4:03pm Appleby goes in the fairway bunker on 8, drops 4 f-bombs.
4:15pm Appleby and Tiger both PAR the par-5 #8. Tiger teed off with a 3-wood.
4:38pm Sabbatini sits at 1st after he birdies 13 and Goosen bogeys 12. Tiger is struggling.
4:44pm Tiger misses a par putt on +10 and drops to a tie for 5th. Retief Goosen tees off 13 with an iron.
4:49pm Tiger misses the fairway into the pine trees on #11. He doesn’t look confident. Jerry Kelly is at +4 after birdie on #15. Justin Rose birdies #11 to go to +4.
4:44pm Tiger breaks a club hitting his 2nd shot on #11. Sabbatini bogeys 14 and we have a four way tie for the lead at +3 between Sabbatini, Goosen, Johnson & Appleby.
5:05pm Stuart Appleby knocks it in Rae’s Creek on #12. Tiger hits the green with a punch 7-iron. Zach Johnson birdies 13 after laying up and takes the lead at +2.
5:14pm Stuart Appleby records a double bogey on #12. Sabbatini goes long and left on #16. Tiger pars 12. Justin Rose bogeys 13.
5:20pm Zach Johnson birdies 14 and has a TWO shot lead. He looks good…for now.
5:24pm Tiger Woods goes for it in two on 13. His ball makes it to the back of the green, stops and creeps down to where he has a very short eagle putt.
5:29pm Appleby pars 13 after a weak putt for birdie. Tiger EAGLES 15 and leapfrogs up to a tie for 2nd with Goosen. Goosen is struggling.
5:30pm I’m supposed to leave for Easter Dinner. I now play with the thought of how late I can show up. 1/2 hour to 45 minute drive time away from the TV. Ouch.
5:37pm I leave for Easter Dinner, about to die with the thought of missing the next 45 minutes with Tiger in the fairway on 14.

You don’t want to watch The Masters at my dad’s house

My setup: Left is my 17″ Powerbook with Masers.org on the screen. Coming out of my S-Video out of the powerbook I go into my 42″ plasma in the background to watch Amen Corner Live and Masers Extra. Right is my MacBook with HOG on the screen.
My dad’s setup is a 19″ picture tube with rabbit ears which obviously don’t work. In the pic below you can see what looks like The Masters in a snow storm. I think that’s Byron Nelson’s bridge.
