John Daly has some quotes about his night in jail after passing out in North Carolina in or near a Hooters (he says it wasn’t IN the Hooters where he passed out):
“Nothing is going right in my life right now. I’m going through a hell of a divorce. I haven’t seen my son. It was an unfortunate incident, but it’s a joke what people are saying. I take full responsibility for what happened, but it wasn’t that big of a deal.”
“The thing I want people to know is when I called my girlfriend at 11:30 p.m., I was going back to the bus to go sleep. I’m not going to say I wasn’t drunk. I did have a few drinks.”
What amazing quotes. JD is going through a divorce of his 3rd wife (or is it 4th I’ve lost count) and he’s already got some other woman he’s calling his girlfriend? JD shouldn’t call his current squeeze his girlfriend, rather his “next ex.”
And how does one get some sort of extra negativity out of people reporting that he was passed out in (or near) a Hooters drunk? I’m sorry, but if I’m found passed out in a Hooters just put me out of my misery right then and there.
That last post of my Ute golf shoes reminded me I needed to do a post on the FootJoy ProDry Superlite golf shirt.
First I have to wonder. If FootJoy is more than a golf shoe company, shouldn’t they branch off their other products to different “Joys?” If I’m talking about a shirt, doesn’t “TorsoJoy” more appropriately work as a company name? If were talking about golf gloves, shouldn’t it be “HandJoy?” Hats would be “HeadJoy.” I’d better go register the URL torsojoy.com right now… OK just smack me.
ProDry Superlite
I’ve said many times that I prefer spandex or polyester over cotton. I don’t have the time to iron my damn golf shirts. I need shirts that come out of the dryer wrinkle free and ones which don’t shrink. Cotton doesn’t cut it.
The FootJoy ProDry Superlite “ProDry Fabric” is very smooth and tough. I’m gathering it is either polyeseter, spandex or a combination of both. The fabric doesn’t wrinkle and doesn’t shrink, and provides a light and comfortable feel.
The ProDry fabric provides UV as well as “anti microbial” protection. I’m all for protection against microbes. No microbes, no “not so fresh” odors.
Conclusion
I’ve had my ProDry shirt in play for many rounds, through the 19th hole. I’m happy with the style, quality, ease of maintenance and the durability.

For only the 2nd time in team history, my University of Utah football team is 9-0 after beating New Mexico on the road last night.
This week we play TCU on Thursday night which should be a HUGE game as both teams are ranked in the top 10-15.
Congrats on a great season so far and GO UTES.
Happy Halloween
This is the 2nd post in a row with a scary orange image.
The only thing more frightening than ghosts and goblins is my short game.
Stories are now surfacing about an incident with John Daly. It appears that JD had a few too many frosty beverages and passed out at a Hooters. Man, a Hooters? How could that story be any more “Dalyesque.”
Daly was held overnight in a North Carolina jail until he could sober up according to NC police. Police said Daly “appeared extremely intoxicated and uncooperative.” Apparently they wanted to take him to the hospital but he refused.
This is probably only the beginning
I hate to say this. This is likely the beginning of a tragic tale of the post golf glory days of JD. The dough will likely run out and the booze will flow with more and more of a vengeance. I hope JD can get on track but I seriously doubt he will. I just hope it doesn’t end up in a very serious tragedy or death of JD or someone else as a result of JD’s behavior.
