It is tough for me to get much done with my bad shoulder and one arm here at the show. But as I get by a computer and find a connection and some time to work, I’ll be uploading media.
Below is an interview I did with my pal Gary from TaylorMade on the new white R11 and Burner Superfast 2.0 Drivers. Gary takes us through all the cool features and explains in great detail the concepts behind them.
Honestly, it has been a tough day. Being in pain with the separated shoulder and having that shoulder in the sling has made it difficult to get done even half of what I would normally do. I’ve got three, wait FOUR cameras including my iPhone. I’ve got 3-4 computing devices for working with media etc. But just getting something out of my pocket is a lot of work. So my posting about the show will be coming, just not as fast.
The Good Stuff
The show was good today. Big crowds. I visited many of the cool connections I have with some great companies like Bridgestone, Titleist, TaylorMade etc. I will have video interviews coming soon as I get them edited.
I’ve met some cool people, including meeting Scotty Cameron today.
Me and famous putter maker Scotty Cameron
Stay tuned and posts will be coming. Also be sure to hit my twitter account as I have some other posts and content there too.

Meet me at the PGA Show!
The Golf Space and sister web site Hooked On Golf Blog will be attending this year’s PGA Merchandise Show as registered media. I’ll be walking the floor, interviewing people, shooting millions of images of golf gear, capturing video interviews, talking to golf industry professionals, reporting anything newsworthy and broadcasting it live from the show media center.
Meet Me
I’ll be walking the floor Thursday & Friday (possibly Saturday, now that I can’t golf due to an injury). If you have a booth and would like me to stop by, contact me via email, the HOG contact page, private TGS mail, or any of the millions of other easy ways (facebook, twitter, TGS forums, comments) to get a message to me. I’ll add you to my list of booths to visit.
If you are simply walking the show and want to say hello, I’m up for it as well!
PGA Show Event Page
I’ve created a new event page for those attending the show at The Golf Space as well as on my Facebook page. Go to the TGS PGA Show event page and RSVP. By the way, the event section is one of the cool new features implemented at The Golf Space, and like everything else is made just for golf and free of charge!
New This Year
I’m doing some things differently this year. I’ve only set up scheduled appointments with the big boys like Bridgestone, Titleist, Taylormade and Nike. The rest of my appointments will be on the fly, as in years past it seems the schedule is very hard to keep for various reasons.
If I do visit your booth this year, I’ll probably take some pictures and perhaps even do a video interview. It is very casual so don’t get too nervous when I put you on camera.
I will not be collecting any paper or printed promotional materials/catalogs other than business cards this year. Every year it seems that I bring home about 100 pounds of paper and never look at it. After six months I throw it away. If I need information, images or specs about products I’ll get it online. I will be accepting digital forms of media such as flash discs or CD/DVD. I just can’t carry the paper anymore.
Virtual Show Tour in HD
I have a new toy, a GoPro HD video camera. I’m going to mount it to my head and do some virtual tours of the booths and of the show itself. Just wait until you see how cool this will be!
Let Me Know Your Interests
If you have interests about golf products or companies at the show, let me know. I’ll do my best to check them out and post back about them for you.
