I’m having a massive Masters adrenaline dump. Haven’t even been able to look at the TV or the ‘puter.
During about a two hour stretch in the most intense part of the tournament, I couldn’t even sit. I was standing with my golf buddy Guy sitting on the couch.
I’m still processing this Masters, but it was one of the all time best. I’m guessing though, if I were to read my initial comments after each of the last 7 years’ Masters I probably would have said the same thing. I’ll post more thoughts on this Masters tomorrow, when I’ve had time to sleep on it and contemplate it over a cup or two of Joe.
Interviewed On New Zealand Radio
I did an interview on the Masters on a New Zealand talk radio station tonight. They’re stoked about the performance of the three Aussies, Jason Day, Adam Scott and Geoff Ogilvy.
What exactly is a Schwartzel?
From this point on, I’m going to refer to making birdie on the last four holes a “Schwartzel.” Making birdies on 15, 16, 17, 18 is simply amazing, not to mention the chip-in on the first hole and the hole-out for eagle on #3. Wow. Who is this guy? We’re about to find out.
I’m crashing hard after a great week. There are so many story lines from the Rory McIlroy crash to Tiger threatening but losing his chance because of bad putting.
The great news is that there are only 361 days left until the 2012 Masters! Can’t wait.
“The great news is that there are only 361 days left until the 2012 Masters! Can’t wait.”
Did you take into account that 2012 is a leap year?
Brilliant! One less day to wait!
Wait a sec. Good thing I’m not a math teacher. My brain was backwards on this. One more day to wait! BOOOO!
Sorry to have been the one delivering the bad news.
