It is now five days since the big wedding. It was a spectacular event. Mrs. Guru and I are very happy. Unfortunately an emergency forced us to cut our honeymoon in Vegas short and come back home in less than 48 hours. But the time we had there was spectacular at the new hotel Vdara in the new City Center development. I plan on doing a Vdara review here for the travel and lifestyle sections. Once things are back to normal and have calmed down, we’ll try to sneak away for honeymoon version 2.0. Meanwhile, I’m settling back in and winding up the HOG hand crank on some new material, product reviews and general golf blogging.
My pal 4Checker did a nice Colonial preview over at The Golf Space. Check it out.
T Minus Five Hours And Counting
In five hours there will be a “Mrs. Mediaguru.” Yes, in five hours I make it official and marry my wonderful lady. I’m so happy and honored and can’t wait to see all my friends and family at the celebration after. With that and my pending “minimoon” in Vegas, I’ll be a little busy and not posting much on HOG for the next few days.
The Non Annual Korologos Wedding Invitational Golf Tournament
We had a great round yesterday at the wedding golf tourney. 11 of my closest pals got together for some golf, as well as cigars and scotch courtesy of Al my best man. Great times were had by all and guess who won the tournament by two shots, even though he had three 3-putts? Yours truly. And I went undefeated on bets. I won them all, including a skin on #11. I wonder if my pals let me win?
Wedding Night
For those who wanted media from the wedding night, it will only be available on pay per view for $49.95. Check with your local cable or satellite provider for channels and times.
The first tee time is in six hours. The pre tournament lunch is in five. That’s when 12 great guys, and some good golfers will get together for the Non Annual Korologos Wedding Invitational Golf Tournament, sponsored by Bridgestone Golf, Sumi-G, River Oaks Golf Course, Hooked On Golf Blog and The Golf Space. I’m stoked to have this great group of guys all in one place to celebrate and have some stogies. But remember guys, the smoking area at Bonneville Golf Course is between the tee and green on the 14th hole. I’m not kidding. It really is…

Favorites to Win:
Me of course.
Mr Short game’s short game is deadly. He could take this thing. I expect a low 70’s round.
Big Jim’s length could be a big advantage in wet conditions.
Arnie is always deadly and consistent. He is always competitive.
Mr. Sumi-G is due for a low round. Will it be today?
Shanego’s swing is natural and smooth. He played a practice round in Colorado yesterday.
Side Bets:
I’ll have my usual one on one bets against Mr. Sumi-G, Arnie, Big Jim and Mr. Short Game.
Arnie and I will be taking on Big Jim and Mr. Short Game for our usual team bet. This one will be tight.
