OMG Robert Garrigus is completely flaming out.  NOOOO!!!!!  All you have to do is make DOUBLE BOGEY to win!  NOOOOO!!!!!  This is tough to watch.  Garrigus ends up making a triple bogey on the final to enter a playoff.

3 way playoff

Now we have a 3-way playoff between Robert Garrigus, Robert Karlsson and Lee Westwood.  Lee is in the driver’s seat.

OH nooooooo.  Garrigus’s tee shot, a 3-wood is now dead behind a tree.

And then there were two

Garrigus is out (bogey) and Karlsson and Westwood continue the playoff.  Garrigus was +4 for the 18th today.

Wake me up when the playoff is over…

6:47pmET – We are now on the 4th playoff hole…

Lee Westwood wins playoff

Lee Westwood wins on the 4th playoff hole.

Kibo Wear

I’ve got some cool new casual golf shirts in my extensive wardrobe by Kibo Wear. “Kibo” in Japanese means “hope.” Now that I have these very comfortable shirts available, I “hope” to wear them often because of how great they feel and how fun the designs are.

Designs

Kibo’s designs are very cool and a have a bit of an “Asian hippie” flare to them. As far as I can tell there are currently 11 different designs, from the Volkswagen bus golf cart (pictured) to the literal translation of “Club Face.” My two current Kibos are the VW golf cart and “Eagle” which is an interesting piece of art. Eagle is a golf ball with eagle wings, which is snapping a golf tee in half. Right.

Styles & fabric

Kibo’s current lineup includes T-shirts, bamboo long sleeve and bamboo shirts. I’ve got other bamboo fabric shirts and I can tell you that these are far softer and more comfortable than cotton. They have a very silky soft feel to them.

The standard tees are 100% cotton and the bamboo t-shirts and long sleeves are made from 70% bamboo and 30% organic cotton.

Conclusion

Having only launched the company on May 2 of this year, Kibo is off to a great start. It starts with a great and unique product line and Kibo has achieved that. Best wishes to my pals at Kibo.

Father’s Day Golf Gift Ideas

Written by: Tony Korologos | Tuesday, June 8th, 2010

I’ve compiled a list of a few good suggestions as Father’s Day golf gifts.  Some of these are items I’ve reviewed, know about or carry in the TGS SHOP.  They’re not in any particular order, just the order in which they leaked out of my cranium.

MySack – $14.99

MySack is the best selling product in the TGS SHOP.  The sack has a recognizable shape which is sure to get some attention from the lady golfers.  The Sack is soft and brown and holds two balls, tees, accessories and more.

Sumi-G Head Covers – $28-39

I admit it.  I’m biased!  Sumi-G head covers are the best head covers in our solar system and beyond.  Made of molded EVA plastic, their “rigid exoskeleton” protects expensive woods while providing a cool look.  The cover can be easily scooped up off the ground onto the head of the club with one hand!

Frogger Brush Pro – $19.95

Back in May of 2007 I reviewed the Frogger Brush Pro.  My unit is still going strong and keeping my golf club grooves clean.  The Frogger Brush Pro is the best golf brush I’ve ever used.

Potty Putter – $19.95

I’ve been testing out the Potty Putter for a while now.  That’s why my putting is so good lately, all that time spent practicing every morning.  The Potty Putter comes with a green which goes around the toilet, a mini putter, a golf hole, a do not disturb sign and two balls.

Sumi-G Golf Belts – $85

Sumi-G golf belts are the higher end Father’s Day golf gift.  Sumi-G golf belts are very stylish and made of high quality Italian leather.  They come with a magnetic ball marker too!  Beware.  If you buy one of these awesome golf belts, you may need to upgrade your pants.

Bridgestone B330-RX & RXS Golf Balls – $42.99

Unless Dad is on the Champions or PGA TOUR, his swing speed is probably less than 105mph.  In that case, he probably can’t compress a golf ball unless it is a softer core model like the Bridgestone B330-RX series.  The RX and RXS are designed for amateur swing speeds and I can personally vouch for the added distance.  In my case it is a good 15-20 yards.

Bridgestone Golf balls can be found in any golf shop.
