Lamb Of God guitar player shreds despite extreme pain from golf injury

Two nights ago I attended the Lamb Of God concert here.  I’d seen them back in 2007 and it was f’n amazing.   Yes I’m a metal head who golfs.  A rare breed.  I’m sure I was the only guy in that whole audience who had a tee time the next morning…

During the show I jumped into the mosh pit a couple of times.  I got knocked all around and it was sort of fun.  I did get knocked down though and was being trampled.  I thank the person, whoever it was, who picked me up.

At one point in time the Lamb Of God singer announced that their guitar player was playing through extreme pain which he’d sustained from a golf injury.  Haha.  I like that.  There’s another metal head out there who golfs, and he’s in the band I’m watching.  The irony.

Comments on Paul Goydos’ 59

How rare is a 59 on the PGA Tour?  Paul Goydos’ 59 yesterday at the John Deer Classic was only the 4th ever on the PGA Tour.  That as amazing.  There have been hundreds of thousands of rounds played by the world’s best golfers for decades, yet only four 59’s.  Shooting a 59 on tour is far more rare than a perfect game in baseball, which there have been 20.

Quick to jump on the 59 bandwagon

Any company who provides gear for Goydos has been quick to jump on the bandwagon, from ball manufacturers to club manufacturers.  I think I even saw a press release from Goydos’ toothpaste manufacturer.

Stricker

Steve Stricker shot a 60 yesterday.  How funny is it that a player can shoot a 60 in the first round of a tournament and be in 2nd place?

My gallery may not be as big as Phil Mickelson’s or Tiger Woods’ but it is darn cute

The socks are in the shoes and the shoes are in the socks…  I just had to say that.

What the heck are Shoe Socks?

When I got the Shoe Socks from ShoeSocks.com, I couldn’t help but laugh.  I was thinking, “here’s another one of a billion useless golf accessories.”  I finally got around to using them and I’m still laughing, at myself for not using them sooner.

Shoe Socks are made from a stretchy and durable Neoprene material which easily fits over individual shoes and looks sharp.  Shoe Socks protect shoes during storage and transport.  Even while in a shoe bag, shoes can rub against each other and cause scuffs and these puppies prevent that.
