This has been one of the more challenging reviews I’ve had in some time. I personally test every product I review, and take my time with attention to every detail. I test over several days, weeks, even months, to make sure my evaluation of the product is as accurate and true as possible.

This is certainly the case with the Golf Beer Mug. I put the Golf Beer Mug through a deep battery of tests, from ales to lagers to honey weats to porters. I found the Golf Beer Mug to perform well through all the variants of brews I threw at it.

Ricky Johnson Milled Aluminum Cigar Holder

I’ve been known to partake on the golf course when it comes to cigars. In fact, HOG has done a lot of cigar and cigar accessory reviews for golfers. It’s tough work, reviewing fine cigars while golfing. I’m willing to take on the task.

I’m happy to feature a very fine magnetic cigar holder, perfect for golf carts or anywhere a magnet can find a friendly flat steel surface. Check out the aluminum, milled cigar holder by Ricky Johnson Putters.

In the photo above I have the cigar holder attached to the support beam of my golf cart roof. I’ve stuck the unit elsewhere as well, like on the front porch steel side table. It works great. The magnet is extremely strong and withstands high wind, bumps and all sorts of other abuse.

When not in use this nice ($70 nice!) milled aluminum cigar holder lives in its carrying bag with drawstring (below). I keep my holder ready to go in my golf bag at all times. Best be prepared.

Room For Improvement?

I’d love to see a Hooked on Golf Blog logo milled into one of these beauties. Custom logo would be a great offering.

The life of a golf blogger is exciting! Exotic locations, high-end golf courses, golf babes, the best in golf equipment… When I’m traveling I use up a lot of power with my many cameras and mobile computing devices. Posting live blogs, social networking commentary, photos, and videos eats up a lot of juice. Plus I have golf GPS’s, bluetooth speakers, and all sorts of other devices I need to charge on the road. Sometimes I’m nowhere near a power outlet and that’s when MyCharge comes in. I’ve got many MyCharge units in my arsenal (see related links below). HOG World Tour Visits Jack Nicklaus Designed Red Ledges Golf Course in Heber, Utah

Yesterday was a tremendous day. I had the pleasure of taking the HOG World Tour to Utah’s Red Ledges golf club, a Jack Nicklaus signature design. Red Ledges is located in Heber, Utah.

Heber is a quiet town near to dozens of summer and winter activities. Heber is very close to Deer Valley and Park City ski resorts, national forest land, and Jordanelle Reservoir which is a haven for boating and water sports.

My round was very fun and challenging. I was aided by caddie John, who was very good. Whenever I executed the shot, hitting the landing area he suggested, good things happened!

It will take me a while to process all the photos and write my review. Plus I plan to return to review their par-3 course. So stay tuned for my full Red Ledges Golf Course review soon.
