Nike 20XI-S Golf Ball in play today - Click for more images

I’ve already had one test round under my belt last week with the Nike 20XI-S golf ball, the spinnier version of the new 20XI series.  That round was extremely tough though as the course had just opened following being covered with snow.  The course was playing massively long, no roll at all.  Mud ball central.  Holes which I normally would have 7-9 iron approaches were hybrids, and some I couldn’t even get home.

So today will be my 2nd test round with the 20XI-S and should give me a great idea how this ball performs.  Stay tuned.

20XI-X Golf Ball Review

I already reviewed the 20XI-S’s sister ball about two weeks ago.  To my knowledge, I’m the first to post a review the Nike 20XI-X golf ball so check it out.

The Caddie Who Won The MastersThe next read in my gigantic list of golf books is by the golf author John Coyne, who previously penned the book The Caddie Who Played with Hickory.

Coyne’s new book is called The Caddie Who Won The Masters.  This is the story which Bobby Jones would have loved, that of an amateur who managed to win the best golf tournament on this planet.

If you can’t see it, click the read more below for the complete product description.

Lobster Golf Ball

We were at the beach.  Everybody had matching towels.  Somebody went, under a dock.  There they saw a rock.  But it wasn’t a rock, it was rock lobster….  golf ball.

I’ve seen those cruise ships which have driving mats on them and wondered about the environmental impact of hitting balls into the world’s largest water hazard, the ocean.  I didn’t know it, but they make biodegradable golf balls for that.

The researchers at the University of Maine have created a golf ball from lobster shells for this purpose.  Somehow I doubt the cover on this ball is as soft as ProV1 or a Srixon ZStar.

Loudmouth Golf Hot Dog Shorts

Loundmouth Golf's Hog Dog shorts - click for more

Hard to write a 2000 word review about a pair of golf shorts.  Wait.  If a picture is worth a thousand words, then I can post two pictures of my super cool Loudmouth Golf Hot Dog shorts.  Boom! 2000 words plus…

I get some funny looks and comments by people when I’m sporting my Hot Dogs around the golf course, grocery store or at the Diary of Ann Frank play the other day.

“Nice shorts,” they say.

Me, “you have to have the body for them.”

My uncle, “Where does the battery pack go for those shorts?”

My daughter, “dad you look like you work at Hot Dog On A Stick.”
