Current time is 3:33 ET, and we are now about 2.5 hours into a rain delay in round three of the 2011 PLAYERS.  The players are not on the course and several groups including the leaders have yet to even tee off.  There’s currently no estimated time that play will resume.

Y.E. Yang was one of my top picks for the TPC this week.  Sorry to ruin it for him as he missed his 3rd cut in a row.

Here are Yang’s comments below on the 3rd consecutive missed cut.

Yang TPC

I totally agree.

I’m happy to announce that I’ve returned to HOG World Headquarters after a five day stretch on the HOG World Tour.

It will take me a bit to compile the hundreds of images, video and content from my stops at several courses and resorts in Southern Utah and Nevada, so stay tuned.

Tiger Woods withdraws from THE PLAYERS after nine holes

Tiger Woods has withdrawn from THE PLAYERS after shooting 42 on the front nine. 2011 marks the 2nd year in a row that Tiger Woods has withdrawn at the TPC Sawgrass Stadium Course.

Tiger was limping around the front nine, figuratively and literally. He started out with a bogey on #1, then made a triple bogey on #4 followed by bogeys on #5 and #9.

It appears that Tiger Woods has not yet recovered from the medial collateral ligament injury in the left knee, or the strained achilles tendon.

Today’s WD will surely fuel the discussion fire as to wether or not Tiger will break Jack Nicklaus’ major record. At this point, that shouldn’t even be discussed. Can Tiger win anything with the current state of his game and physical problems?
