I’ve been gaming the Callaway Apparel Men’s Dual Action 1/4 Zip Pullover Sweater on and off the course for a few months now. This is a terrific sweater which is extremely comfortable. Let’s take a look.
Key Features
Standard Sizes/Colors
Colors available include Caviar (dark gray), Medium Gray Heather (lighter gray), Peacoat Heather (dark blue), Blue Coral Heather (light blue), Castlerock Heather (medium gray). I’m sure you’ll appreciate my translation on the colors…

Retail pricing for standard sizes and colors is $75.
Big and Tall
There sweater is also available in “big and tall” sizes which range from LT to 5XLT. Colors in the B&T line are Caviar, Blue Coral Heather, Castlerock Heather (see color english translations above).
Retail pricing for B&T sizes and colors runs $90.
In Action
I’m a big fan of polyester and spandex in apparel, but not the 80’s metal band kind. The fabrics and technology over the past several years make for super high performance and comfort. On the golf course the sweater helps keep me warm and loose. I’m especially fond of the way the garment moves with me, even though my swing moves might not be terribly… natural. Whether it is cold and/or wind I’m thrilled with the performance and style of the Callaway Apparel Men’s Dual Action 1/4 Zip Pullover Sweater.
I’ve even gamed this sweater in northern Utah weather conditions, as in snow. It’s a great layer to put under my parka, and to wear indoors. I’ve even worn it up on the slopes with great results. Perhaps Callaway should make ski apparel.
Final Thoughts
I’m happy to have put the Callaway Apparel Men’s Dual Action 1/4 Zip Pullover Sweater into my starting lineup. The style, performance, and mostly comfort are terrific. I’m also glad to have finally logged my first Callaway Apparel review in this humble golf blog’s history. It only took 15 years. Hopefully my next Callaway Apparel review will hit sooner than 2034.
I didn’t watch one second of the Waste Wasted Management Open. Hats off to Rickie Fowler for the win. I’m sure Taylormade will be all over that, claiming that Fowler’s recent switch to their golf ball was the reason. Fair enough.
I saw an amazing video on Twitter (below) which came from the gallery, a “lady” double chugging beers as the crowd cheers her on.

What a proud moment for her. It must have topped the time she won the beer chugging contest at the Sigma Alpha Epsilon frat house over at ASU. I hope the results at the free clinic came back negative.
If this is how to “grow golf,” count me out.
Here’s a quick look at what’s new for Golf Pride Grips in 2019, wrapped up in a nice package from Golf Pride.
The Tour Velvet Plus has a larger lower hand, which promotes more power in the swing.
The MCC Align is a unique hybrid between rubber and cord, and offers a red or green Align strip to help the golfer with alignment.
The ZGrip Align is a cord grip with Golf Pride’s Align technology. I may put these in play for moist conditions when I need more gripping power.
The two putter grips on the right are the new Tour SNSR Contour Pro, in 104cc and 140cc. I’ve been wrapping my hands around these and they feel terrific. I’ve been gaming the Tour SNSR for nearly three years now. Might be time to switch.

Sentimental post time. Peak Vision was one of my early reviews way back in 2005! It has only taken 14 years to get my next Peak Vision Sunglasses review started. I’ve just gotten in a pair of their GX5 models in for review.
The design is stylish and simple. Classy. I’d forgotten how great the colors are when looking through Peak Visions. I look forward to putting these in play and working on my upcoming review. One issue however, is that the courses here are closed due to snow. It’s the typical northern Utah 5-month frost delay.
Stay tuned this spring and let’s hope the snow melts soon, and I’ll get this review rolling.
The social posts, blog posts, and articles from the 2019 PGA Merchandise Show are starting to roll in. Sigh. As I mentioned in the previous post, I’ve made an executive blog decision to sit out the show this year as I did last year. There is plenty of media there to cover the latest in the longest long super long more yardage longer longest long LONG big huge super long low spin long carry long distance mega long drivers and of course the awesome golf club stands. Yes there is a lot of nonsense at the PGA Show, which I won’t miss, but there are many things I will miss, a lot.
Top 10 Things I’ll Miss at the 2017 PGA Merchandise Show
You may have noticed that this is the same post as the one I wrote about not going to the 2017 PGA Merchandise Show.. That’s because it was so well written and accurate, I determined there’s no reason to write it again. You may have also noted that this one goes to 11. Thanks for making it this far. 🙂
