Advertising on blogs can bring a huge return on your investment

Advertising on blogs is becoming more and more popular as blogs become more and more popular. For example Audi was able to spend a one half of one percent of their ad budget in blogs which generated 29% of their traffic. That’s quite a return on investment.

"... by using blogs, we were able to highlight the tech aspects of the car, the action-adventure premise of the campaign itself and we could connect to people on all these levels apart from Audi’s normal messaging.”

The blog component of their campaign was one half of one percent of the marketing spent and generated (ready for this?) 29% of the traffic to the Web site.

There’s no reason at all that this same principle can’t apply in the golf world.

Gimme A Ruling golf rules game

The 2nd item on my Golfer’s 12 days of Christmas list is Gimme A Ruling. GAR is a “Trivial Pursuit” type of game which makes learning the rules of golf fun, interesting and easy to remember.

Chameleon golf balls?

HenkaQ

HenkaQ makes golf balls that change colors when exposed to sunlight. The base color of the balls is white but that can change to purple, yellow or varying shades of blue when the ultraviolet rays of the Sun hit them.

The surface of the balls has the same photo chromic compound which changing sunglasses use to get darker in brighter light. It’s nice to know that the core of your golf ball is protected from skin cancer.

Fred: “Hey Bob I think I found your ball! What color is it?”
Bob: “Yellow”
Fred: “Nope, this one is purple…”

HenkaQ also makes a fluorescent golf ball for night use.
