Bite Golf ShoesIn 1996 by Dale Bathum started making golf sandals and alternative golf footwear with something in mind that other golf shoe companies seemed to ignore: comfort. 10 years later Bite Shoes produces golf shoes which focus on not only comfort but orthopedic function.

Biosport

The Biosport golf shoes employ what Bite calls “functional biomechanics.” Functional biomechanics promote good foot health via:

– Wide toe box
– Properly positioned Forefoot grooves for natural foot flex
– Torsional control in arch & heel utilizing Trufit fiberglass arch shank
– Heel support counters for lateral stability
– Shockgrid cushioning under footbed

All due respect to the Bell South… LET THE MASTERS TALK BEGIN!
Augusta National - The Masters

Who will win the 2006 Masters?

The new HOG poll is up. The Masters is 10 days, 8 hours and 3 minutes away. (I’m counting the seconds too, but decided not to post them)

Who will win the 2006 Masters? I’ve posted the “big five” players and the field. I could have made the poll ridiculously long with tons of players but I decided just to go with this setup.

Does Tiger win? Does he even attend? Phil hasn’t played all that well and neither has Ernie lately. Look out, Goosen was in 2nd at the TPC and 3 strokes ahead of 99.9% of the field. Speaking of the field, guys like Sergio are there….

Speaking of Sergio I’m going to say he WON’T win the Masters. He just can’t putt. If you can’t putt, you can’t with the Masters (or any Major for that matter).

VOTE NOW! Let’s get Major turnout on the votes for this one!

The latest poll results are in! The Major season is less than two weeks away and you’ve weighed in on your favorite major. The Masters has resoundingly won. No surprise.

What is your favorite MAJOR?
US Open 10%
PGA Championship 3%
Masters Tournament 69%
The British Open 18%

Steven Ames to blow away the field at the TPC

“Which course is Ames playing?”

As I start this post I’m watching the TPC on my DVR. DVR’s are the single best invention ever for watching golf on TV.

Steven Ames is just about to tee off on #17. Normally I’d wait until the round is completed to write a post about this but Ames has such a huge lead he’d have to start throwing clubs into the water to run the risk of giving away the lead.

Ames is in THE ZONE. He’s making the rest of the field today at the TPC look like a bunch of hacks: Singh 77, Garcia 78, Weir 79…..Beem 85!

It’s almost official… Ames will be collecting a phat check of $1.4 million, a 5 year PGA Tour exeption, 2006 PGA invite, 2006 British invite and gets into The Masters for the next 3 years. Well done.

17 17 17

#17 had 57 balls in the water over the last 4 days. This hole is short and these are the best players in the world. Once again, it shows that it doesn’t take 492 yard par 4’s to make golf exciting.
