My game is now a disaster

My game stinks

I don’t know what is up.  I feel good physically.  I’ve lost 20 pounds over the last couple of months and I’m looking like a younger “flat belly” player now.  My back isn’t stiff at all.  The swing “feels” good.  I feel loose.  Everything seems to be working and feeling good up until I make contact.

Tuesday I did something I haven’t done since somewhere around 2004.  I shanked a shot.  I handled it fairly well and didn’t get too bent out of shape.

I feel like I’m actually making solid contact but finding my concentration level is very low and I’m making poor decisions.  I’m not focused.

Worst round of the year

Today I carded my worst score of the year and sent myself into an even more confused state than I already was in, which is hard to imagine.  Somehow I managed to push on all my bets (won some lost some) which I can’t believe.

Game management?  No.  Course management?  No.  I’m in a state of “disaster management.”

Maybe I should just let it go

Perhaps I shouldn’t get too down about my bad rounds right now.  I do seem to go through this phase a few times per year.  Tomorrow is another day, and I’m golfing so it won’t be too bad.  A report will follow.

My state golf association’s site has been hacked

I played some absolutely horrid golf today.  I went to punch in my worst score of the year into my state golf association’s handicapping system and found this:

This site may harm your computer

Of the 662 pages we tested on the site over the past 90 days, 52 page(s) resulted in malicious software being downloaded and installed without user consent. The last time Google visited this site was on 2009-05-13, and the last time suspicious content was found on this site was on 2009-05-13.

Malicious software includes 93 scripting exploit(s), 32 trojan(s), 1 exploit(s). Successful infection resulted in an average of 6 new process(es) on the target machine.

Malicious software is hosted on 14 domain(s), including xxxx.cn/, xxxxx.cn/, xxxx.or.kr/.

5 domain(s) appear to be functioning as intermediaries for distributing malware to visitors of this site, including xxxx.or.kr/, xxxx.cn/, xxxx.cn/.

This site was hosted on 1 network(s) including xxxx (FIBER).

I deleted the URLs so as not to drive any traffic to the hackers or to have any search engine problems myself.

I called my association and they’ve taken the site down.  I’ve been there.  It isn’t fun trying to fix all the damage.

“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. ” -Benjamin Franklin

Michelle Wie must be insane.

Having still not won on the LPGA Tour, and not even having won a game if tic tac toe either, Michelle Wie still wants to play against the men.

“You know, like I always say, dream high and stuff, set your goals up high, and I think it’s definitely—I’m not saying it’s an easy goal to achieve. I’m not going to be like, ‘Oh, I’m going to go out and win a men’s event.’ It’s not like that, but it’s one of those long-term goals where I see myself getting to. I see myself getting there, and it’s one of those goals that really motivates me and pushes me to be a stronger player, a better player.”

Like I like think like I like may like bring like back like my ban on Wie like mentions like until like she like wins like on the like LPGA like Tour, and stuff.

My Sack is light brown, soft, and has two balls in it

golf ball holderYesterday I met with my new friend Doug from “MySack.”  MySack is a golf ball/tee bag you can hang from your golf bag.  The bag looks like, well, a guy’s ball sack.

Not only does MySack look like a ball sack… it comes with two balls in it!  Bonus! Ya gotta hand it to Doug for having the balls to “sack up” and try to make a golf product like this fly. I wish him luck.

The MySack could be a good ice breaker for that nervous first golf date you are on.  I could definitely see this unit as a good giveaway or tee prize for corporate tournaments, embroidered with a Hooters logoo etc…

I just installed my MySack yesterday.  I’ll be evaluating MySack, and putting MySack to the test for a review soon.
