Tonight is the premier of the Haney Project, where Tiger Woods’ coach Hank Haney will be attempting to fix Charles Barkley’s swing. I wish Hank luck.

Sorta famous

If you watch the preview of this show, you’ll see a shot from behind Charles where he’s on a desert course wearing shorts.  That was at last year’s Team Challenge and I was standing about 10 feet behind Charles on that swing.  Here’s my video of Chuck’s swing:

Cool clip. Looking at it I was amazed at how smooth and rhythmical his warm-up swings were. Then he gets up to the ball and gets all spastic.

I think many of us will watch tonight for the “Springer Effect”. No matter how messed up our swing is, it’s not as bad as Barkley’s.

No matter how many times you see it, that swing is just so uncomfortable to watch. It just doesn’t seem possible! I agree with 4Checker, it’s amazing to see how fluid his warm-up swings are but that just shows you how screwed up his head is over the ball.
