It’s 12:39am, and thanks to DVR technology I just finished watching round three of the Buick at Torrey Pines.
Tiger is in complete control of his game, even after taking seven weeks off. The only weakness in his armor is the same one he’s always had, driving. Small weakness.
Should Tiger win, which is practically a lock with an eight shot lead, he’ll tie Arnold Palmer’s win total with 62. That would tie him for 4th place all time. Two more victories after that and he’ll reach Ben Hogan’s record. Rare air. Keep your eyes open. Golf history is being made live.
In case you’re curious, Jack Nicklaus is 2nd all time with 73 wins and Sam Snead is #1 with 82 wins. At the pace Tiger is at the last few years, he’ll take over the #1 spot by 2010 or so.

You are a fortunate person, indeed, if you can begin each day accepting the fact that during that day there will be ups and downs, good breaks and bad ones, disappointments, surprises, unexpected turns of events. At the same time, wise golfers have learned to accept those adverse conditions of the golf course as representative of real-life challenges.
