I’m very saddened by the news that a long time friend of mine, and his family were the victims of a drunk driver. Late last night my old high school friend and band mate (whom I haven’t see for a couple of years) was driving home from a basketball game. A 17 year old drunk driver hit his car, killing my friend’s wife, her unborn child, his 11 year old son and nine year old daughter. My friend is in the hospital.
The drunk driver fled the scene and was found laying in someone’s front yard.
I attended junior high and high school with my friend and his wife. In fact, his wife was the first girl I ever went on a date with.
If I ruled the world, the death penalty for this crime would be letting this guy off easy.
