Here’s your chance to ask Tiger Woods a question.  Five minutes ago Tiger mentioned that he was on his way to Torrey Pines and was going to answer some questions on Twitter.

Tiger Woods Twitter Q&A

I sent in a question.  Why not?  We’ll see if I get an answer.

Ian Poulter is giving Tiger a bunch of grief on there, asking him to join in the funny banter between himself, Lee Westwood, Rory McIlroy and the other super golf tweeters.

Ian Poulter taunts Tiger on TwitterI wonder if Tiger will take the bait?

I created a Twitter list containing Poulter, Westwood and Tiger so you can follow just their conversation: http://bit.ly/eCz0a9

Happy birthday to my Dad and also Ian Poulter!

Today happens to be the birthday of two really good golfers.  One golfer has partnered with me for many tournament wins and plays golf with me just about every week of the summer.  That golfer is not Ian Poulter, whose birthday is today.  I’m referring to my Dad who turns 74 today.

My Dad has been a huge influence on me and is a very respectable and liked individual in many professional and personal genres.  At 74, he is as active as imaginable with skiing in the winter and golfing in the summer.  I can only hope I make it to his age, let alone being that active.

Skiing Video

I picked up a new GoPro HD video camera recently and I made a little video of my Dad and me skiing at Alta last week.  If you don’t see the video below, click the read more as putting YouTube videos on my home page slows it down.

I’ve just added over 100 photos to the HOG Masters Gallery.  I also added a whole new album called Masters Odd Stuff for things you may not normally see at Augusta National.  Here are a couple of samples from the 2010 Masters Tournament gallery.

Above: Tiger Woods tees of on #9

Above: Ian Poulter reads a tough break on the par-3 6th hole

Above: A view you never see, looking back at the tee from #13 fairway.  COOL!

Poulter’s short game gets him his first win in the USA

Yesterday marked the first Sunday PGA Tour round I’ve watched this  year.  I’m a big match play fan, but the format is not generally all that great for TV.  Case in point is this year.  Two Englishmen competing with no Phil, Tiger, Stricker or any other big draws.  No #1 seeds either.

Classic case of short game beats long game – a.k.a. “Pinky did it”

Paul Casey can bomb it.  He was longer than Ian Poulter (dressed in all pink) on many occasions by 20-30 yards.  But length didn’t matter as much as short game, and Poulter’s was awesome Sunday. Ian made some incredible up and downs to keep the pressure and the lead on Casey.  Just when I thought he’d gag, he would hit a great recovery shot in what looked like near impossible situations.  Bravo.

Honestly, I haven’t watched much Poulter so I didn’t know much about his game.  I can now safely say that his short game is a great weapon.  At least it was this week.

Speaking of too much Flash in web sites, I made it through 5.74 seconds of Ian Poulter’s site before I bailed

OMG.  Another Flash programmer just bought a Porsche at the expense of the web viewer’s time and bandwidth.  Just two posts ago here I mentioned the fact that Tiger’s new site was better because it had less Flash.  Then I went into a Flash rant.  I do that often these days.

Loading… Loading… Loading…

As much as I like Ian Poulter, and I really do, his new site is a prime example of what I was talking about with too much Flash.  It took me 5.74 seconds to eject from Ian’s site.

For the love of Bobby Jones, get me to the content asap!  Forget the animations and the intros and the fertilizer!  Sorry man.  Just can’t take it.
