GentlemansViceWith Father’s Day coming up next month, and the festivities surrounding my pending wedding (and all the cigars which will be involved), I thought it would be a good time to do a piece on a very cool accessory called the Gentleman’s Vice.

The Gentleman’s Vice is a cigar/golf accessory which has many functions:

First it is a dual action cigar cutter.  You push a button and the double guillotine blades extend out. Put the stogey in the opening and close the guillotine for a perfect cut.

A 2nd button/slider extends a divot tool. A gentleman always fixes his ball mark and a few others.

After fixing a few ball marks, the player/gentleman marks his ball and pending birdie putt with a customizable ball marker.

Nothing ruins a fine cigar quicker than goose dung. While hitting shots the U-shaped top of the unit can hold a cigar to keep it off of the wet grass, keep it out of the chemically treated grass or most importantly, keep it away from goose dung. The unit also can serve as a club prop to keep the grips from contacting the wet grass and becoming slippery.

The Gentleman’s Vice has a mounting clip which allows mounting of the unit on your belt or your pocket for easy access.

The Gentleman’s Vice comes in five colors: Silver (pictured), copper, gold, black and gray.

Each GV comes with a nice carrying case, pictured left. The case can easily attach to a golf bag.

I have a gallery of images set up. Check out the Gentleman’s Vice Image Gallery.

I’ve used my Gentleman’s Vice many dozens of times and it would make a great Father’s Day golf gift. It is a perfect combination of a fun golf gadget and real life useful functionality. The thing is indestructible too, which is why it has a lifetime warranty. The Gentleman’s Vice is built like a Russian tank, only it gets much better gas mileage.
