I’m starting to test out the 2nd CBD product reviewed here at Hooked on Golf Blog.  Yesterday was my first application of ParForm CBD Topical Salve, on a right knee that got very angry with me after my latest backcountry skiing session this past weekend.

ParForm

ParForm is a golf specific training and nutrition company which offers nutrition bars, protein mixes, instruction, training, and now golf-specific CBD products.

CBD Topical Salve

The topical salve comes in a 1oz package containing 250mg of CBD.  There is no THC (the chemical part of the pot plant that gets you high, and helps you fail drug tests).

I’m now hitting that pesky knee with it and hoping the CBD does what it is supposed to, so I can get back out to my many physical activities.  I’ll post my findings in a few weeks when I’ve had enough time to formulate a clear conclusion.

I’ll admit I’m pretty out of the loop with any knowledge of CBD products. They’re pretty hot right now. Cannabidiol (CBD) is a naturally occurring compound found in the resinous flower of cannabis.   I’ve  had many  golf  friends  recommend  CBD products for my many ailments I apparently whine about on the course, from bad back to stiff knee to tennis elbow/golfer’s elbow to my recent shoulder surgery.

I’ve finally given CBD a shot and I’m quite happy with the results. Specifically I’ve been gaming Muscle MX CBD “Heating Balm,” seen in the photo below.

I’ve been using Muscle MX CBD balm on my pesky left knee, my stiff lower back, and my right shoulder.  I’ll put on the “Activate” balm at the beginning of the day or before a workout. After the workout or physical activity I’ll use the “Recovery” balm.

The balm is applied via a stick, just like one you’d find in a deodorant or antiperspirant. It goes on easy and stays on for quite a long time. I absolutely love the the menthol-like fragrance. After applying the balm I can feel a “cold heat” in the treated area.

Other Muscle MX Products

Aside from the balms, Muscle MX also offers CBD drops and lotions. I have yet to try those but hope to soon.

Final Thoughts

I’m finding with Muscle MX in play I’m able to loosen up quickly pre-workout. I recover quicker from workouts and big physical activities.  Soreness subsides quicker and inflammation is reduced.  As a bonus, I really love the smell and heating of the treated area.
