FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

2019 Masters Tournament is All About the MEAT

[Salt Lake City, Utah – April 9, 2019] Leading golf blogger Tony Korologos of HookedOnGolfBlog.com has just released his 2019 Masters Tournament scripting.  Korologos is famous for producing some of the most prestigious Masters Tournament scripts in the history of the event.  Some scripts from previous years include the original blogger apparel scripting, toothpaste scripting, Sergio Garcia’s baby nappy scripting, cigar scripting, and Dustin Johnson’s sock scripting (commemorating DJ’s fall down the stairs which injured his back and prevented him from competing in the Masters).

“The 2019 Masters scripting is different,” Korologos said.  “My Masters viewing now involves a new Traeger smoker, so I’m in meat mode.”

Korologos’ script varies in meat type, culminating with the filet mignon for the Sunday final round. “The filet finish is like Tiger wearing a red shirt on Sunday. But one must not overcook it.”

Masters week has begun and we already have our first bonehead of the week award.

The Masters is a golf tournament. It isn’t a series of tournaments. “Masters” is not plural. Please. Do not be a Masters bonehead.

The Masters IS Coming.

First Look – Just in Time for the Masters Tournament – Puma Golf Union Camo Golf Polo

I just upped by Masters Tournament apparel scripting for this week with the newly arrived Augusta-green Union Camo Polo from Puma Golf.  The moment I saw Puma’s promo of this polo with Rickie Fowler wearing it, I knew I had to have one.  Check it out:

I must admit the fabric on this polo is quite a surprise.  It is made from 83% polyester, 13% cotton and has a “fluffy” feel and look to it.  I’ve already put it though one day of use and it is extremely comfortable. Super soft and smooth.

My normal review length will extend my review past the Masters Tournament, so I wanted to at least get you a quick preview for this great week of golf and the first major of the year. Stay tuned for the full HOG review soon.

HOG and Golf Pride “First Major” Giveaway

I play Golf Pride grips. 80% of the PGA TOUR follows my lead, despite not getting paid by Golf Pride. That’s the sign of a really great product.  I love the Align technology for my full swing clubs, and for my putter I game the TOUR SNSR.

I haven’t been one for doing a lot of contests and giveaways in the past, but I thought I’d change that up a bit and do a giveaway in honor of the 2019 Masters Tournament.  I worked out a gift package with Golf Pride featuring 13 Limited Edition “First Major” MCC ALIGN Grips and the t-shirt pictured below.

The grips and shirt in this package are not available for sale, anywhere. Only a few select Tour players have them, and of course the soon-to-be winner of the 2019 HOG/Golf Pride “First Major” contest.

HOW TO PLAY

I can’t just give these incredible grips and t-shirt away to anyone. I need to make the winner work for it. Here’s how to win them:

  1. On Twitter, make sure you follow @HOGGOLFBLOG and @golfpridegrips
  2. Retweet any HOG “First Major” contest tweet with your pick for the Masters winner. The player must be a Golf Pride user.

The winner will be announced the day after the Masters Tournament concludes.  In the event of a tie, the winner will be chosen at random.

Happy tweeting and GOOD LUCK!

The birthdays blogdays seem to be coming fast lately. Hats off to fellow blogger and excellent golfer John Duval. John runs IntoTheGrain.com, which is now celebrating 10 years on the interwebs.

John and I have played many, many rounds of golf together including courses in Morocco, Bandon Dunes, Florida, and Utah.  We’ve built up a solid friendship which I value greatly.  The friends and connections I’ve made as a result of running this golf blog are fantastic.

I get a lot of exposure to IntoTheGrain because I have 3-4 dozen balls with the ITG logo on them.  We did some golf gear tradesies. The ball above survived about 4-5 full 18 hole rounds before I had to send it off for retirement.

Head over to IntoTheGrain.com right now and check out some of John’s work.  He’s extremely well versed on golf gear and competitive golf.
