Last year I had the pleasure of watching Keegan Bradley notch his first PGA Tour win in person at the HP Byron Nelson. I was there when he made the winning putt in the playoff with Ryan Palmer. That moment was electric and little did I or anyone else know that Keegan would later win the PGA Championship and then the PGA Tour Rookie of the Year. I even caught the very cool photo to the right.
Below is this week’s TV schedule for the Byron Nelson Championship. Will Keegan repeat? Will Phil Mickelson win? He is in the field for the first time since 2007.

Greetings from New Mexico, USA. What a fantastic day today I spent up in Taos, New Mexico. I played golf at Taos Country Club with the assistant pro Carville Bourg who can hit it a New Mexico mile. This is a very interesting and fun course, carved out of links style rolling dunes and framed by millions of sage brush bushes. Don’t miss the fairways here!
I’ve just added a photo gallery of about 70 photos from every hole on the course, plus the pro shop and practice areas. Click the Hooked On Golf Blog Taos Country Club link in this line or the image below to see them, and enjoy! (more…)
Quick post before I hit the road this morning from Black Mesa. I’m heading up to Taos, New Mexico to play Taos Country Club and tour around the town of Taos.
Stay tuned for pictures of the course, comments and the like from the town of Taos later today.
Greetings from the small town of Española, New Mexico. I’m staying in the Santa Claran Hotel, just a few minutes from Black Mesa Golf Club.
Today was mostly a travel day, but I managed to squeeze 18 holes in on one of my favorite courses in the world. I made a new friend, John Ehle, a writer from Wisconsin. We blazed through the course and had a fantastic time. It is very fun to take someone around the course who has not seen it before. I sort of rediscover each hole myself.
I was happy with how I played the course today. After getting up at 4 a.m. and flying to Albuquerque, then driving nearly 100 miles to the course I can’t complain. The start was shaky, bogey-double. I sucked it up and made 11 straight pars from hole #5 to hole #16. Played my best ever on the par-3’s, even par. Hole #8 is a BUGGER, playing at 239 yards. Solid 3-wood to 10 feet.
Children have Disney. I have Black Mesa Golf Club in La Mesilla, New Mexico.
This is an auto post I’m happily writing to publish while I’m on my flight from HOG World Headquarters to my remote office for the week, Black Mesa. I’ll be playing the course, seeing my good friends on the Black Mesa staff, eating the best breakfast burritos in the world and experiencing Taos New Mexico and Taos Country Club.
Stay tuned for live posts as well as many live Facebook and Twitter updates this week.
