2002 Masters DVDThe Masters is in 26 days 7 hours and 59 minutes. Anybody want to help me out with some tickets? I met with my former ticket connection who had them taken away. He is devastated. So am I. I’ve been planning on going to The Masters for almost a year since my friend invited me.

But I’m still excited and I’m doing my month’s worth of pre-Masters preparation by watching Masters DVD’s, reading and looking at Masters.org.

The last DVD I did was the 2002 Masters. This is the best Masters DVD I’ve viewed yet. The 2002 Masters was Tiger’s 2nd victory at Augusta in a row.

These DVD’s are great. You have that “Masters Announcer” calling a quick daily play by play, the great camera shots of the course, the players, the fans and the general ambiance that can only happen at Augusta National.

Flyover

That stuff is all great. But the real reason this one is the best Masters DVD so far is the special features. The last special feature is a complete course flyover of Magnolia Lane, the clubhouse and every hole on the course. This flyover is absolutely awesome.

The flyover alone is worth buying this DVD, let along watching Tiger win his 3rd Masters.

What is Footjoy thinking?

footjoy
I was hanging out at the pro shop of one of my 3 home courses the other day. There was still snow on the ground but the pro shop was in full chaos mode getting all their inventory and equipment stocked for the upcoming season. It’s a great time to check out some of the new gear as they break open the boxes.

I came across these shoes from Footjoy. I had a terrible experience with my Dry Joy PRO’s and these things look like they’d even be worse.

I’m not sure what’s more funny about these shoes, the two shades of blue that don’t match at all or the fact that there’s a big piece of plastic around the shoe. This should be a a golfblogger “ridiculous item of the week” article.

The latest HOG poll has closed. The results:

What’s the most you’d pay for a round of golf?
$500+ -> 10%
$300 -> 9%
$200 -> 29% (29 Votes) 29%
$100 -> 38% (38 Votes) 38%
$50 -> 14% (14 Votes) 14%

Most of you cap your limit for a round of golf at $100. Me? There are courses I’d pay $500 to play.
