Here is an article about a new partnership between Turner Sports (a division of Time Warner) and the two biggest golf sites on the web, PGA.com and PGATOUR.com.
Turner will be handling the internet and “mobile” mediums. Internet is obvious but mobile could mean cell phone or PDA broadcasts as well as other electronic devices. I do remember getting a note from a guy (I’m trying to remember who) who told me about a PGA tournament where they passed out electronic devices to the gallery which had some kind of live broadcast and live scoring.
It will be cool to see what Turner New Media will be able to do. They’re certainly pioneers in electronic sports media.

Yet I birdied the 18th hole to shoot 69. I’ve shot in the 60’s twice now.

Cool cart based golf shoe cleaner

I ran across this on my recent Denver trip. This is a pretty cool idea for keeping golfer’s shoes clean, and preventing transfer of different grasses, seeds and debri to the putting green.
