Bubba Watson has won the Masters with a par on the 2nd playoff hole, the 10th.   The key shot was an unbelievable 155 yard shot from the right trees which Bubba had to hook an estimated 40-50 yards.  The shot hit the green and spun up the hill toward the hole.  Oosthuizen was short of the green and failed to get up and down for par.  Bubba easily two putted for an easy win on the 2nd playoff hole. Bubba had tears in his eyes (ala Caddy Shack) as he hugged his caddie, mother and friends like Rickie Fowler.

Congratulations to Bubba Watson.  Well played.

7:20PM ET

We have a playoff between Bubba Watson and Louis Oosthuizen.  They’ve both made par on the first playoff hole, the 18th.

Both players have teed off on the 2nd playoff hole, the 10th and blocked them into the trees.  Wait.  Oostuizen is in the right 2nd cut.  Advantage Oosthuizen.

7:30PM ET

Peter Hansen just shanked his tee shot on 12 into 13 fairway!?  Wow.

4:30PM ET

I’m going to break from commenting now. Too intense.  Can’t concentrate.

3:49PM ET

Oh my this is awful. Phil Mickelson’s tee shot on #4 hit the grandstands left of the green and bounced into the “shrubbery” left.  From there, rather than taking an unplayable or going back to the tee, he hit a right handed shot which didn’t quite get all the way out of the junk.  He then hit ANOTHER right handed shot (remember he’s left handed) which ended up on trampled ground.  Then he tried a super-flop which ended up in the bunker. From there he got up and down for a TRIPLE bogey.  Wow. Phil the trill strikes.  -5 now, four shots back.

Meanwhile Oosthuizen has made two pars at four and five and sits at -9 still.

Bubba Watson hit a fantastic approach to the tough 5th hole and made birdie to move to -7 and a tie for 2nd with Hanson.

Matt Kuchar and Padraig Harrington are in the mix at -6 through six holes.

Lee Westwood made birdie on hole #7 to move to -5.

3:30PM ET

Louis Oosthuizen made a bogey on the par-3 4th to drop back one shot to -9.

Phil Mickelson has started with three straight pars and is one back at -8.

Put a fork I Peter Hanson.  He has made two bogeys in the first three holes to drop back to -7.  Masters nerves for someone who hasn’t been in that position before.

Bubba Watson is -1 on the round through four and sits three back.

12:54PM ET

Oh my goodness!  Louis Oosthuizen just knocked his 2nd shot in on #2 from 260 yards for DOUBLE EAGLE! WOW.  He just leapfrogged the whole lead group and is now at -10 for the sole lead.  That is only the fourth double eagle in Masters history.

Phil Mickelson made par on #1.

2:46PM ET

Bubba Watson made bogey on the first hole to drop to -5 after a 3-putt.  He was visibly and audibly mad about his approach shot saying “I did it again.”

Phil Mickelson and leader Peter Hanson are now in the 1st fairway, in good shape.

Hunter Mahan made bogey on the first hole after his approach hit the green and rolled off the left side to a nearly impossible up-and-down situation.  Hes now at -3.

2:25PM ET

Bo Van Pelt made par on 17 and birdie on 18 to shoot a 64.  Ties the lowest Sunday Masters round in history.

Fred Couples is on the course. Freddy made birdie on #2 and is at -3 after four holes.

In the cellar dweller department, Kelly Kraft has finished his round at +18.

1:38PM ET

Like I said, Bo Van Pelt is having a great day. It just got better.  He ACED the 16th hole and is now -7 for the round.  He started at +7 and is now EVEN par.

Tiger Woods has reached the final nine. If he made birdie on every hole, he’d still be four shots behind the current leaders who haven’t even teed off yet.

1:00PM ET

Bo Van Pelt is having the round of the day so far. He started the round at +7 and is -5 through 14 holes.  Low scores are out there.

Keegan Bradley is having a good round as well. He started the day at +5 and has it to +2 after 10 holes.

Thomas Bjorn and Luke Donald are -3 on the round through 14 holes, moving from +7 to +4.

12:30PM ET

About half of the field is on the course now.

Tiger Woods is on the course.  He made a birdie on #2, unlike his par-5 performance for the first three days.  He has completed four holes and is at +2 for the tournament.

Hole #2 is playing easy this morning. A large percentage of the field has made birdie there so far.

You can tell that they’ve been drying out the course.  The grass around hole #13 for instance, is showing some browning now.  The course should be hard and fast by the time the leaders are in their rounds.

Luke Donald is -3 on the day so far, through 10 holes.

9:45AM ET

The final round of the 2012 Masters is officially underway.  There are two groups through the first hole now, players at +9 to +11 for the tournament: Cink, Kraft, Karlsson, E. Molinari.
