Greetings from southbound interstate 15 at 7:47am. I’m en route to Moab Utah to add two golf courses to the HOG World Tour courses list. Adding a little fun to this tour leg is that I’m joined by my dad and shortly my buddy Shanego.
Moab Golf Course
The first course on the list is the Moab golf course, on the south end of town. Tee time today is 1:30. I’m anxious to see this course which is in the heart of my favorite area in the world, red rock country. Right next door is Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park and Dead Horse Point State Park. The Colorado river cuts right through town as well.
I’ll be posting some images of the Moab course later today so stay tuned.
Hideout Golf Course
The 2nd course on this leg of the HOG World Tour is The Hideout in Monticello, Utah. I passed through and looked at a few holes last month and when I saw it I knew I had to come back and play the course as soon as possible.
The Hideout Golf Course has beautiful tree lined holes and a lot of great eleveation changes. Click for more images.
Tee time is tomorrow at 10:30am.
Canyonlands National Park
Following turnaround at the Hideout we will be venturing into Canyonlands National Park’s southern end, as it is just a few miles north of Monticello. On the agenda is hiking and shooting about 1000 photos of the spectacular red rock scenery.
