Doral Weather Delay

Bad weather at Doral

Wow there’s a big storm hitting Doral right now.  Trees are blowing over and it is raining sideways.  Even the hospitality tents are close to flying away, as Graeme McDowell put it.  Play has been delayed an estimated three hours.

Quote of the day comes from Geoff Ogilvy:

“Here I am, having a wonderful morning, with a one foot putt for double on my first hole, and they blow the siren.”

Kelly Tilghman on the weather:

“Our towers at 8 and 9 have been blown away.”

Ian Poulter:

“There are tv towers in bunkers, the main scoreboard has blown over, the course will take a little while to get ready, hope we get out there.”

Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and Graeme McDowell have yet to tee off.

The hat that Rory Sabbatini is now wearing is made in California by a small family owned company named Head ‘N Home Hats. These waterproofed leather and fabric hats are custom made to Rory’s specifications and color choices. Head ‘N Home has been custom making hats for over 30 years. Their creations include many lightweight models for the golf enthusiast. headnhome.com 1-800-NICE HAT.

  2. Thanks for the comment Gary. You can check out one of my Head ‘N Home hat reviews here:

  3. But I’m trying to understand why you’d put the comment in a post which is about the winds and destruction at Doral, rather than the article which mentions Rory’s hat?
