I shot a “2” today

Today was to be a league day, 18 holes.  Then this afternoon while my boy was in golf camp I’d be on the range tweaking my swing for a couple of hours.  That isn’t going to happen.

Shot a “2” today

On the par-5 first hole today I hit two shots.  While approaching my 3rd shot my back went out.  I had to quit and now I’m at home on pain killers, rolling around on Miracle Balls hoping to untweak myself.

I have Scoliosis which is a birth defect in the spine.  If I lift heavy things or strain my back, a nerve pinches and I’m in severe pain for about a week.  The pain can get so bad that I’m not even able to put my socks on.

Sometimes it can take a day or two for the injury to surface after I’ve strained my back.  This past weekend I lifted heavy things, and I rode a bunch of roller coasters at an amusement park.  One or both of those combined sealed my fate 48 hours later.

Bad timing

There’s no “good” timing for a golfer’s back to go out.  But this week it is really bad.  Saturday is a tournament I’m already signed up for.  My home course hosts the city amateur every year.  I’ve missed this tourney since day one and finally my schedule allowed me to be there.   I could certainly place in the money in this event, but now it isn’t looking good.

Tony…try the inversion table. Worked wonders for me! I use it every week in off season and every other day during season. (Knock on wood) haven’t had an issue since

Tony, your link for Miracle Balls is 404’d.

Since my wife has a lot of problems with her back (fused vertebrae from a car wreck) I am very interested in reading your review!

Take care and don’t strain yourself.

    Love your site btw.
