pro sports celebrity team challenge golfI’ll be leaving this Thursday evening for Palm Springs to blogcast LIVE from the Team Challenge celebrity sports golf tournament, along with Golf Chick, Jay Flemma and Golf Girl. Unfortunately there weren’t enough rooms at the Fantasy Springs Resort, so Golf Chick and Golf Girl will have to room with me. Don’t worry. I don’t snore that loud. Hehe. OK smack me.

The Team Challenge is a tournament pitting all time greats from basketball, football, baseball and hockey. Each team has a charity which will be awarded the prize money, $100K for 1st place. My blog post here covers the details of the event.

Below is a table from the Team Challenge web site showing the four charities who will benefit. I’ll be paying close attention to, and doing some more blogging about Operation Kids. Operation Kids is located just down the street from my place.

Operation Kids

Football team charity – Operation Kids is an ambitious and holistic charitable approach to gathering the best care and attention to the nation’s less fortunate children. View website: http://www.operationkids.com/

Hockey Fights Cancer

Hockey team charity – Hockey Fights Cancer has made its goal to research, treat and eliminate cancer. View website: http://www.nhl.com/nhlhq/community/hockeyfightscancer.html

USO Supports Troops

Basketball team charity – United Service Organizations, Inc. (USO) defends the morale and well-being of our military officers and GIs in combat and homesickness abroad. We value their sacrifice bringing our forces home. View website: www.uso.org
