Fred Couples’ Streak Is Over :: Other big names GONE

Today Fred Couples finished at +4 for the Masters Tournament. He missed a birdie putt on #18 by an inch, which would have gotten him into the weekend. Instead he missed the cut and his consecutive cuts made streak is over.

Other notable players who didn’t make the cut: Aaron Baddely, Ernie Els, Sergio Garcia, Charles Howell III, Rory Sabbatini (aw shucks), Aquaman, Scott Verplank.

I’ll be posting the whole leaderboard in the next post.

  1. Eat Golf says:

Typical Fred – fantastic drive, beautiful iron shot – then the putt grazes… But this time it was under the pressure of all that and on the 18th tee it was very exciting to watch it unfold on TV – him not choking and hitting a great drive, then hitting a wonderful second to about 5 feet or something as the announcers are saying he needs a birdie. Then finally seeing him line up his putt and it looked so good and so close burning the edge but not dropping…

    Exciting stuff!

Unfortunately, that’s all I’ve had a chance to see so far of this year – turned on a TV and Freddy was about to tee off on 18 needing to birdie. Had to stay and see him finish. DANG! Do you think me watching it on TV jynx’d him? No way no way – nothing but positive waves from me Moriarty.

    🙂

I know, I spelled jinx wrong – spelled it like Lynx just for the fun of it. And don’t be hatin’ – normally when I get a chance to watch golf on TV is when Freddy shoots lights out :))
