Greetings from Torrey Utah

I’m in Torrey Utah. I played a gig last night here for a biker convention (my other gig besides being a golf geek is “rock & roll drummer”).

I did a small tour of Capitol Reef National Park this morning after watching Sergio Garcia extend his lead in the 3rd round of The Open. Luke Swilor is tasting that beer I bet him when I said Garcia won’t ever win a major… Sunday will be interesting.

I’m about to hit the road and head home and maybe try to sneak some golf in when I get back. I’ll post a couple of pictures of this beautiful area later tonight.

UPDATE: I’m back home. Here are those pictures of Capitol Reef I promised. 1st is a sunset from last night, then some shots from this morning.

  1. killer says:

Enjoyed your drumming last night, pity about the delay in starting as most people had wandered off by the time you guys got started. I actually live in Torrey (quite a long way from a golf course I’m afraid) – if you want to see some more pictures of the area check out my Torrey Tales: http://www.bobpalin.com/tt

  2. Hey cool. Did you say hello? Yeah we had wildfire issues and traffic issues getting everyone there on time but fun was had by all. We only took one break and played straight through the last 2 sets…
