There is no Big Five

Tiger Woods has just won his 5th in a row. Tiger has just clinched player of the year for the 8th time in 10 years.

Since his meltdown at the U.S. Open, Phil Michelson hasn’t done much.

Retief Goosen hasn’t been much of a factor this year.

Vijay Singh has a victory, but also has been missing cuts.

Ernie Els really hasn’t been the same since his knee injury.

There is no big 5 anymore. There’s the big one and then the rest.

When I was in school and I scored well on a test but everyone else sucked, the teacher would grade on a curve. I think if anyone wants the rankings to mean something, they might have to start ranking on a curve.

  3. Dead on, Tony. The only Big Five is the sporting goods chain.
