Nice Luke Swilor article at Travel Golf

Head on over and read this article by Bill Wolfrum at Travel Golf on HOG friend and my buddy Luke Swilor.

Bill does a nice job writing about Luke. He quoted me a heck of a lot, which is nice.

Bill even posted a 2nd article which more directly asks someone out there with some cashola to sponsor Luke. Another blog jumps on the Luke sponsorship bandwagon! You never know. It just might happen.

My favorite quote from the 2nd article: “Being a good blogger is like being good at oral sex. Sure, it’s something that gives you pride, but so few people are aware of your skills.”

By the way, Luke was very patient with me while I (to quote Chris DiMarco) “threw up all over myself” on the course yesterday. Thanks buddy.

TaylorMade BallTaylorMade jumped back into the ball game today with two new golf balls:
The TP Black and TP Red.

TP Red

* Accelerated ball speed for greater distance
* High-launch and low-spin off the driver for greater distance
* Low-launch and high-spin off the irons for greater command
* Exceptional greenside spin for superior shot-stopping control

TP Black

* Accelerated ball speed for greater distance
* High-launch and low-spin off the driver for greater distance
* High-launch and high spin off fairway woods, hybrids and irons for greater distance
* Exceptional greenside spin for superior shot-stopping control

I can’t wait to get a good look at these balls close up. They use a “Pentangular Di-Pyramid Dimple” pattern.

A few players are already playing the ball: Sergio Garcia, Hale Irwin, Chris Perry, Justin Rose and others.
