Had a great ball striking round today at a local Arthur Hills design course here called Wingpointe. “Wingy” is right by the SLC Airport. Scored a 74, despite some issues…

This shot looks like an airplane is on #12 green:

This fox was eating lunch and watched me tee off on #13. I wish he would have looked closer because my tee shot was never found in the left rough and I took a 6 on that hole:

Sunglasses fly right out the window

Man what an oddball thing this evening. I was heading back home from a family dinner. It wasn’t too hot outside so I had the windows open. My Callaway S401 sunglasses were on the dashboard. I hit the freeway entrance fast enough for my sunglasses to slide across the dash and right out the window.

I figured they’d be trashed and I almost left them on the side of the freeway entrance. But I decided I’d see what the damage was so I pulled over and huffed back on foot. I picked them up and as luck (or their strength of materials) would have it, not a single scratch!

Apparently my friends at Callaway weren’t kidding when they said these things were tough.

Maybe broadcasting your itunes library is not a good idea

There are some widgets that show what you are currently listening to in iTunes on your instant messenger account. But given what I’ve seen some people listening to maybe that’s not a great idea:

Here Wie go again…. yawn

Michelle Wie is going to try to make the cut on the PGA Tour again this weekend at the John Deer Classic. I wish she’d do it and either get it over with or stop trying. It’s getting a little old.

Oh, has she won one tiny little tournament on the LPGA Tour yet? No?

If she makes the cut the media will go crazy and it will be a big buzz…. If she doesn’t? Yawn…

This article states Wie has enough talent to win on the PGA Tour. Well I’m going to have to disagree for now. She doesn’t have a solid enough putting game to win on the PGA Tour. Her weakest area though is her mental game. She can definitely improve both these areas. Only after that improvement would she have a chance.
