Geoff Ogilvy is the first confirmed contestant in the 2010 Mercedes Championship, where only winners from the previous year can play.
Ogilvy ran away from the field with a score of -24. Mighty low.
I didn’t get a chance to watch much of the Mercedes, but I did catch some of the HD broadcast. HD golf is the ticket, if you can’t be there in person.
I’d like to wish my pop a happy birthday, even though he’s not going to be able to read this for a while since he won’t be near a computer. My Dad is the youngest damn 72 ever. He hits my old Titleist 983K driver damn near as far as I hit my driver. If I can hit a ball that well when I’m 72, or if I even make it to 72 I’ll be happy.
My round with my local pro and a couple of pals was fun, but cold. Despite the 50mph winds we still had a good time. The balls were blowing off the greens and our scores all blew up. Coincidentally, we’re in a town named “Hurricane.”
Still it was good to get out of “white hell” if only for a couple of days.
I’ve now confirmed a 2nd sponsor to the 2009 HOG Space Fantasy Golf competition, FootJoy.
FootJoy will be providing a pair of custom MyJoys as a fantasy prize this season! Many thanks to my friends at FJ. You have my gratitude!
The fantasy season starts TOMORROW so get your team set!
I’m happy to announce the continuing sponsorship of the yearly HOG Space Fantasy Golf competition by my good friends at OGIO.
OGIO will be providing one of the fantasy winners with a sweet golf bag.
Many thanks to my OGIO friends and I’ll be seeing you guys FIRST at the PGA Show in a few weeks!
