I got the funniest myspace message today.
“My name is Summer. I am the new Director of Marketing for The Weekenders Golf Tour. I would like to thank you in advance for all of your support. Although, I regret to announce that our legal team has informed us that we may no longer accept advertisements on our MySpace page from anyone who is not a sponsor. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. I hope that we will continue to work together in the future. Have a great day and a better tomorrow.”
So am I to interpret that Summer (pardon me, her “legal team”) is saying she wants me to “pay” to post a comment on her myspace page? Wow. Plain wow. And I thought my “no strippers” myspace policy was strict.
Well I hope they take PayPal ’cause I’m just dyin’ to pony up some cash from the last set of clubs I sold on ebay. I can’t wait to pay to have my comment appear right between the plastic fantastic stripper hotties and the gangsta rappas. LOL! ROFL!
Oh, one more thing..
I just booked my flights and hotel for the 2008 PGA Fall Expo in Las Vegas. I’ll do anything to eat lasagna at my favorite Italian restaurant, Batistas. The show has a demo day and tournament on Monday the 25th (which I won’t be attending) and then the expo all day the Tuesday the 26th and Wednesday the 27th. For more details about the show click here.
Contact me at the flashing email address below for an appointment if you’d like to meet with me at the show! I’ll be at the show for the full duration of the Tuesday & Wednesday sessions.
This week Vijay Singh won the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational with the following gear in his bag:
Cleveland HiBORE XL driver (9.5), Launcher Steel fairway wood (13), CG1 irons (4-PW), CG12 wedges (54, 60, 64), Never Compromise Milled Series putter.
I have hundreds of links to other golf sites and golf blogs in my HOG Master Links section. I’m doing a little mid year cleaning and getting rid of blogs which have been inactive for six months or more. If you have a golf blog (or just a blog) I recommend doing the same!
I’ve really loved the performance of many Bridgestone golf balls. The B330 and B330-S as well as the E5 and E6 have provided me with great performance on the course. I have a new ball to add to the list from Bridgestone, the “TreoSoft.”
The TreoSoft is a two piece ball, meaning it has a large core and an outer cover. The core employs some very cool and innovative technology. Rather than being one density throughout, the core changes in density from center out. This “soft gradational compression” results in more energy transfer at impact and helps moderate swing golfers gain more distance. Despite having what some would call a “hard” cover, I can attest that this core gives the TreoSoft an extremely soft feel.
