mastersRory McIlroy continues the great play.  Rory birdied #2, #5 and #9 and is currently three shots ahead of the nearest competitor (K.J. Choi) at -10.

Speaking of K.J. Choi, he finished the day shooting 70 for a total score of 07.  He had it at -8 a couple of times, but a 3-putt on 18 from birdie range hurt.

Geoff Ogilvy is in the house at -6 with a -3 round of 69.

Y.E. Yang started the day at -5 and that is where he ended the day.  That -5 so far is good for a tie with Ricky Barnes, Fred Couples and Alvaro Quiros.  Quiros followed up his 65 yesterday with a 73 today, but he reached his main golf of making the cut.

Speaking of Fred Couples, the back must have held out pretty well today as Freddy climbed up the leader board with a 68.  Golf scribes and bloggers are already anointing Freddy the oldest Masters champ.  Easy there guys.  Long weekend of golf to go and Fred’s back is no good.  Slow it down turbo.

Jhonny Vegas unfortunately won’t be around for the weekend after going 72-76.

Phil Mickelson didn’t improve his position today, shooting even par on the day and staying at -2, eight shots off the current lead.

Tiger Woods has lost a shot through seven holes and now sits at even par for the tournament, 10 shots off the current lead.
