Yesterday’s matches took on quite a different flavor than day one. There were some major demolitions, like the traffic cone (a.k.a. Rickie Fowler) destroying Phil Mickelson. At one point in the round Rickie had five birdies and an eagle.
As far as my picks went yesterday, I had a much worse percentage wise than day one. I went 8/16 and 1/2 on my upset specials. I’m still 5/6 on upset picks though. My two upsets for today are JB Holmes over Jason Day and Rickie Fowler over Matt Kuchar. It is quite tempting to pick Y.E. Yang over Graeme McDowell too but I’ll leave that one.
All the matches will be fun to watch, especially Geoff Ogilvy vs Bubba Watson and Rickie Fowler vs Matt Kuchar. Hunter Mahan vs the only #1 seed left Martin Kaymer will be no slouch either.
