Skirt or not, Funk gets the last laugh and the dough

Before the Skins Game started, Tiger and Annika were giving Fred Funk grief about his lack of length. Talk of wearing skirts was quickly doused on day one when Funk reached the par 5 9th in two with an iron, and sunk a $225,000 putt (a day 1 record for the Skins Game).

Sunday Funk cashed in on the last hole for a total of $925,000. His last birdie put for $550,000 was worth more than $100,000/foot. Drano.

Tiger finished 2nd with $75,000 he won from the first 3 skins. Skin master Fred Couples and Annika Sorenstam were shut out.

Was it inspiring golf? No. The Golf Grouch puts it into words as well as anyone.
