Annual Christmas Classic Cancelled Due to Lack Of Snow / Favorable Weather Conditions

I was looking forward to competing in the 2011 rendition of the River Oaks annual Christmas Classic with the 12 balls of Christmas yesterday, but unfortunately the tournament was cancelled.  This is a golf tournament which can only take place when there’s enough snow or bad enough conditions for the course to be closed on Christmas.  Sadly, there wasn’t enough snow on the ground, and the course had players playing full rounds.  We couldn’t do it.  Maybe next year…

For now, enjoy a rerun of the 2010 Christmas Classic video.  2010 Champion and buddy Dan Crookston will get to keep his championship crown (ugly hat) for one more year.

I lived in Utah for 34 years, played golf in December…maybe 7 of those 34. (started playing at 7)

Today it’s going to be 72 here in Sunny California! Am headed to Jack Kramer’s Gem in the Inland Empire Los Serronos. I will be wearing shorts and sunscreeen.

There are alot of real nice courses in Utah, prices are very affordable. However, it is too cold to play golf ther until late March!!

So, this is a hello to the land of green Jello and Stripe-ped socks!…light the fireplace!
