On the range before the father/son tournament this morning I’m hitting wedge shots. The guy hack behind me is hitting drivers. He hits a “directionally challenged” a.k.a. sideways shot which hit me right in the left butt cheek. We’re talking about a guy hitting a full swing shot off his driver which hits me in the ass from 4-5 feet.
I turned around and looked at the guy and said “Um, that hurt” in a very dry nonchalant manner. He was sorry and embarassed, as he should have been.

Hey gotta wonder why you were hitting in front of somebody swinging a driver??? Not sure who is at fault here.
We were on the driving range.
I don’t think Jon understands in Utah you say “in front” to mean “beside with my back to” the other people on a driving range.
Personally, I always try to position myself facing everybody on a range to make sure I don’t get hit and to be able to see who’d striping their 1-iron long and high. Then I make sure not to play those guys…or ladies
I like to hit on the end of the range too, just like Tiger. But shotgun tournament everyone is on the range at the same time so it is very crowded.
