The last tournament of the year: HELL DAY

I’m wrapping up my 3rd year in a row as my men’s club president. One of the things I started in my first year was the Halloween tournament called HELL DAY. HELL DAY is where we set up the course in the most insane, crazy, difficult way possible. I went through the course yesterday with the superintendent and director of golf setting it up.

Last year on #14 I “eleven-putted” because the pin was in a tier which was on a severe slant. You miss the putt, you’re 30 feet away… We have tee boxes down dirt roads, 13 tee is 12 tee’s ladies’ tee etc… I’ll post some pictures later.

Tonight after the tournament is the final banquet and awards dinner for the 2007 season. I’ll have to decide if I want to run run for president a fourth year in a row. I likely will, as my contributions to the league get me complimentary golf.
