Is Phil Mickelson back? Despite a double bogey with a lost ball on #5, he notched his 30th PGA Tour victory at Pebble Beach. He tied the tournament record at -20 for a five shot victory with great putting and great short game shots….and he kept his drives in play.
It was quite nice to watch PROFESSIONAL golfers play golf, rather than some of the “celebrities” a.k.a. hacks that play in the pro-am.

Golf is a game in which you yell "fore," shoot six, and write down five.

I am not a huge Phil fan per se, but I was genuinely pleased to see him do well. I loved the kids running onto the 18th green to give him a hug too.

I think it’s a little early to say he’s back. This is a tournament he’s won a couple times before on a course that he traditionally does well on. I don’t think we’ve seen the last of the reckless shots like he played at the US Open. That’s part of his nature and I think if he gets back to normal leading up to the US Open, we might see some risky shots there. He should be pretty conservative at the Masters. It’s the same course year after year, with only a few minor changes. He knows what to expect and what he has to do there.
The family scares me. Anything that perfect scares me.

I agree Miranda. Winning a major is a whole different story.

Phil is leading again this week in the Nissan. Maybe he really is back. The big challenge will be when he goes head to head with that one guy that plays with Nike clubs.
