Masters Logo - Augusta NationalI’m going to be attending this year’s Monday and Tuesday practice rounds at the Masters. I can’t wait to be back on the grounds at Augusta National. Haven’t been since my first trip in 2010.  I’ll be in the Atlanta area Sunday the 1st and flying out of Atlanta on Wednesday.  Between then my only firm plans are attending the Monday and Tuesday practice rounds.

Masters Meet Up

Any friends or HOG readers who would like to meet at the tournament, I’m considering making a meeting place and time each day since we can’t use cell phones or PDA’s to coordinate online.  Perhaps a well known place like Butler Cabin or under the Isenhour Tree.

Maybe we can meet here? Not a bad view...

Outside of the tournament there’s always the possibility of having a frosty beverage Monday or Tuesday evening.

Let me know your thoughts and if you have a hookup on lodging. Looks like some of my arrangements have fallen through.

  1. Dan says:

The Isenhour Tree? The tree is named after President Eisenhower who was a member of Augusta National. The President played a slice, so the big pine left of the 17th fairway made it difficult for him to hit the fairway. According to Masters.com, “At a Club’s governors meeting in 1956, Eisenhower proposed cutting the tree down. Clifford Roberts promptly ruled him out of order and adjourned the meeting.”

No disrespect to Tripp, but let’s not confuse him with one of our country’s greatest presidents.
