Shot my lowest score ever today

I’ve been playing pretty bad lately. Everything but my putting has been horrid. My ball striking has been weak and inaccurate. Lately I’ve missed more greens and fairways than ever.

Today I put a few new spikes on my shoes… four to be exact. They replaced very worn ones.

I go and shoot -3 on the front and then birdie #10. I’m -4 after 10 holes. I held on and had to birdie the 18th to break my old record and shoot a 68. Draino.

This round came out of the blue sky. No idea it was coming. I’ll be changing out the rest of the spikes TONIGHT…

New spikes can certainly make a difference. If you lose your footing lots of bad things can happen.
