While staying at the fabulous Sandals Emerald Bay all-inclusive resort last week, I spent a couple of days on the Greg Norman designed Emerald Reef Golf Course. I’ve just uploaded a batch of photos of the course to the new HOG Emerald Reef photo gallery for you to check out.

I even captured a couple of photos with my small aerial photo/video multirotor quadcopter (also known as a drone) as you can see in the photo below. The lighting wasn’t great due to stormy weather, so the drone pictures aren’t as good as they could be.

The Hooked On Golf Blog World Tour spent most of the week last week at the fabulous Sandals Resorts Emerald Bay property on the island of Exuma in the Bahamas. I’ve now added a large batch of photos of the resort and its many offerings, even some photos from my drone (see picture below).

There is no way I could capture photographically everything Sandals Emerald Bay offers, but the gallery should give you a good idea if you are planning a caribbean trip, or a Bahamas trip. There are even photos of the awesome caribbean drinks!

Greetings from the beautiful Sandals Emerald Bay on the island of Exuma in the Bahamas.  I’m here to review the resort, the on-site Greg Norman designed golf course, and to play in a two day tournament.  Internet connectivity here is as consistent as my short game, meaning it works only about 25% of the time and even then it is sketchy.

Yesterday marked an activity I’ve never done before and will never forget, swimming with the pigs.  There’s an island here where pigs roam, and when traveling boats come by the pigs jump into the water hoping to get fed.  Very fun, and entertaining experience.  I’m uploading a video to YouTube now, but with the bad internet here, it could take 247 years to finish.  So enjoy the photo above and tune back into this post for the video later.

Golf Apparel Review: Greg Norman ML75 Golf Polo

I’ve been diligently testing two Greg Norman ML75 golf polos recently. I’ve put them through the rigors at the office, through many golf rounds (high and low), laundry batches, and cooking sessions making killer Greek dishes for dinner. Let’s take a look at the ML75 features, then look at how it performed in those varying environments.

Greg Norman ML75 Polo

ML75 Features

  • Super fine microfiber polyester yarn
  • Moisture wicking
  • Easy care
  • Aerated knit collar
  • Aerated knit inserts
  • Shark on bottom hem
  • Ultraviolet protection factor 20+

Sizes and Colors

The ML75 comes in many different patterns as well as solid colors.  Too many to list, but the two I tested are a great looking striped purple and striped black (see both photos).

Sizes for the ML75 include small, medium, large, extra-large, and double extra-large.

On The Course, In The Office, In The Kitchen, Out On The Town, In The Laundry

First and foremost this polo is great on the golf course.  I’ve now worn it in all sorts of conditions, including 94 degree temperatures with nearly 100% humidity.  In the high heat and humidity the shirt wicked the moisture away from my body very well and didn’t stick to me during my golf swing.  The fit, especially important during the swing, is very comfortable and doesn’t hang up or bind at any point.

In the office the ML75 is very comfortable and certainly very classy.  In the kitchen, the olive oil came right out as did the marinara and Greek oregano.

Easy Care

The microfiber polyester is so soft.  It feels like silk.  Almost as great as the feel is the fact that if washed and dried properly, the shirt will never shrink or wrinkle.  That’s a big deal for me.

Critiques

Critiques: NONE.  ZERO.  ZILCH.  NADA.

Conclusion

At $69 retail, the Greg Norman ML75 is a very good value.  This polo delivers comfort, style and performance one might expect from polos priced twice as much.

Today is/was day two of my testing of the Greg Norman ML75 golf polo.  Yesterday I put my purple one though a long day at the office followed by a very hot and humid round of golf on a very hilly golf course, carrying the bag.

Today’s duty is a little lighter for my black ML75, mostly in the office but some hard work in the kitchen making Greek rice and watching some NFL football.

The shirt performs very well in the kitchen and even better watching football.  I’ll do more evaluation this weekend at the nicest course in town.  🙂
