Ecosox Rocks - Click to see more

For my last few rounds of golf, and the last few rounds at the gym I’ve been sporting some new Ecosox.  Ecosox are not regular socks.  They’re not made from cotton or wool or some sort of synthetic fabric.  Ecosox are made from bamboo.

Why Bamboo?

Bamboo is just about the most “green” and replenish-able source material there is.  Bamboo is one of the world’s fastest growing plants and produces 35% more oxygen than an equivalent set of trees.

One of the biggest benefits to the person wearing the socks is the high moisture wicking.  These socks soak up about 60% more moisture than cotton socks do.  My lower legs and feet are where I sweat from the most, so this is a really big deal.  To go with the high level of absorption, these socks do a far better job than cotton at controlling odor.  No stinky feet!

Ecosox also provide great UV protection, even though I pretty much only wear ankle high socks.  At least I know my ankle won’t get skin cancer.

Perhaps the best benefit of Ecosox though, is the comfort.  These socks are so soft.  I wear them around the house instead of my slippers.  They provide great comfort and cushion during a round of golf or when I’m battling the treadmill at the gym.

Styles / Colors

There are nearly 20 different styles of Ecosox to select from.  Each one of those styles comes in various sizes for men, women, boys and people with x-large feet.  Along with each size comes a large selection of about five colors per.

So far I’ve tested out the Ecosox men’s low cut and men’s quarter with fantastic results.  I still have a model or two more to try out, but I’m sure I’ll be very happy with them.  I’ll post a followup when I’ve put them through the rigors.

EcosoxConclusion

I could recommend Ecosox only based on the comfort, performance, odor and moisture control.  Huge bonus that they’re eco-friendly and made from a super fast and quickly replenish-able source.
