I’m on vacation in Greece.
Greetings From Athens, Greece
No golf clubs, just my Nikon and the best hat scripting ever to hit Athens. Talk soon.
Regular followers of this humble golf blog know that I’m a big supporter of the fantastic golf apparel brand Dunning Golf. Dunning is a higher-end apparel label for men only which is producing some of the absolute best golf shirts, outerwear, pants/shorts, and even underwear. Today’s review is the Dunning Stretch Performance Bottoms (golf shorts).
Dunning Stretch Performance Bottoms (Golf Shorts)
These shorts are made from 90% polyester and 10% spandex. These are the two best modern materials for golf apparel in my opinion, not cotton. Because of these materials, the shorts are very flexible and comfortable. The shorts don’t wrinkle easily. They are low maintenance, easy to wash, and don’t shrink.
There’s not an apparel label out there which nails golf style as well as Dunning Golf. These shorts are so sharp, clean looking, and classy. Plus Dunning’s colors seem to match so well with a myriad of shirt colors and styles.
On The Course
There’s nothing worse than tight or uncomfortable apparel impeding or restricting the golf swing. None of that with the Stretch Performance Bottoms. Swing away freely and play as good as you are capable, in full comfort and style.
In the office or out on the town there are no better shorts. Really. No better shorts.
I first found out about Dunning when in Colombia playing in the Web.com Tour Colombia Open pro-am. I was paired with Kevin Foley and I remember being very impressed with the style and look of his Dunning pants. That was the first exposure I had to the brand and honestly I’ve never had that type of reaction to pants before. I’m thrilled to have some Dunning shorts in my massive wardrobe a couple of years later.
The Dunning Stretch Performance shorts shine in all the areas I need them to: comfort, style, performance, maintenance.

A Flask For The Ages
No mechanical testing by an Iron Byron swing robot. No computer analysis of swing launch angles, spin rates, ball compression here. None of that geeky and moderately useless technical information is needed for this review. All that’s necessary is a few solid rounds, so to speak.
The stainless steel Tattoo Golf flask is a great golf and life accessory, whether using it on the golf course, tailgating, or sneaking a wee nip in anywhere it is needed.
This is not a little boy’s flask, clocking in at a manly 8oz, much more than a standard flask.
- High quality stainless steel construction.
- Attached screw down cap.
- Measurements; 3.75″ x 5.50″
- Holds 8 oz. of fluid
- Image wraps around entire flask
- To clean, just wipe it down with a damp cloth & dry. Not dishwasher safe.
I really the available artwork for TG’s flasks. Mine is the Pin-Up Girl. I may have to get a couple more of the 48 different flasks Tattoo Golf currently stocks. Need one with some bigger skulls (you can see a skull on the pin-up girl’s Tattoo Golf polo).
The Tattoo Golf flask has become the go-to club in my golf bag. Always delivers. Never disappoints, except when it is empty.
I strongly suggest this item as a Father’s Day golf gift, Christmas gift, or one for any occasion. $29 of pure joy.
In the golf world most players have a “go-to” club. It’s the one club they are the most confident in, hit the best, or depend on when they need to be sure to hit the fairway. My cigar equivalent, or go-to cigar brand, would have to be Arturo Fuente. “Fuentes” have been as solid and dependable as the best club in my bag.
Arturo Fuente Cuban Corona Cigar
Today’s review is of the great tasting and satisfying Arturo Fuente Cuban Corona courtesy of Famous Smoke Shop. The corona in the name is the shape. In laymen’s terms it is a medium sized cigar. The core of the cigar is Dominican in origin.
Size: 5 1/4 x 45
Country: Dominican Republic
Wrapper Color: Natural
Wrapper Origin: African
Wrapper Leaf: Cameroon
On The Course
On the course or in the back yard, this is a very tasty and enjoyable cigar. The medium strength is enough for me to get a nice vibe but not so strong that I’m shaking over my birdie putt on the 6th hole. The size is just right too, lasting just the right amount of time.
Not too strong. Not too big. Tasty and enjoyable. The wife and I celebrated our anniversary with this Fuente, and a bottle of bubbly.
If your father or a father you know is a cigar smoker, consider the Fuente Cuban Corona as a very well thought out Father’s Day gift.
Dunning Golf makes fantastic apparel items, from underwear to pants, shirts, and outerwear. The line is some of the best of the best in golf apparel. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to review Dunning’s offerings and let my readers know about this wonderful apparel company.
Today’s piece is the Dunning Solid Mesh Contrast Collar Signal Golf Polo. Yes, it would be better with a longer name, but we can only go with what they give us.
Dunning Solid Mesh Contrast Collar Signal
This polo is a high high contrast green and gray. It’s hard to describe the color of green but the best way I can describe it is vibrant or perhaps electric. Despite how vibrant the green is, it is still very classy and not too over-the-top. Not sure how they manage that but they do.
When wearing this polo with a pair of gray Dunning shorts, the color scheme is tremendous. In fact, it made me want to redesign my website with the same color base? What other golf blogger has an outfit that matches his/her website?! Seriously.
This polo makes me look much better than I normally do…
The fabric in this polo is 100% polyester. I’m a big fan of “polys” and not so much a fan of cotton anymore. Polys are so much easier to care for, don’t wrinkle, don’t shrink. They last forever and are very strong and durable.
Despite being a poly, the polo is as comfortable as any golf shirt I’ve worn.
The flexibility and fit of this great polo lend themselves to a free and unrestricted golf swing. The mesh fabric helps keep the player cool and wicks moisture away.
Hard to write 2,000 words on a shirt review so I’m not going to try. One final word comes to mind on this one and it rhymes with Dunning:
This Dunning polo would make a fantastic golf Father’s Day gift.
